Again, some fascinating history reviewed and written by Marat Khairullen at his Telegram in Russian of course. April 28’s entry he titles
Abramovich's second attempt to bring peace?
Or what is behind the active denigration of the oligarch.
And why Putin still trusts Abramovich
Roman Abramovich is known by most in his designation as a Russian Oligarch, but such a distinction only has the negative connotation of Oligarch as used by Western and some Russian media. But is he a truly negative factor in Russia’s reemergence as an industrial and thus military power? What role does he play in today’s world? Much of what follows goes well beyond my fundamental knowledge of Russia’s internal politics which is one reason I find it so fascinating while reminding me that I have much to learn about the inner workings of the Big Picture. And that’s where I’m very pleased to have followed advice to read Marat’s Telegram on a regular basis, something I suggest to others if they can easily translate text. As usual, this sort of writing raises a massive number of questions related to further context of the times being described that I know will be shared by most readers. This archived (2019) Wiki page I find free of the BS housed in the current one. Yandex provides links to many bios from a wide variety of sources, mostly in Russian, but none enter the historical realm Marat does in his essay. Marat clearly knows much more than what he writes and mentions his need to be cautious. The suspense will now end with Marat’s prose:
For several weeks now, they have been trying to impose a discussion on Russian society around a frankly unsuccessful new attempt by the "London degradants" (it is impossible to call the remnants of Navalny's narrow-minded and aggressive team otherwise) - to debunk the image of Boris Yeltsin. Look, look, the Western mainstream shouts: they don't like Yeltsin like you do, that's why this is the real opposition. Not this Khodorkovsky who has been used to the brim (ay-yay, he supports Israel - you don't like it either, Russian society). And the pretty prostitute scolding Yeltsin - wow!
Russian society, however, does not care about this fuss, it only causes boredom (and there is nothing more terrible than an opposition that causes boredom). But there is one point in this story that deserves our attention. Because it can be used to judge about deep processes that have already begun or are about to begin. And they are related to an extremely important issue for all of us – the timing of the end of the war. What is happening may indicate the imminent end of the NWO. What point am I talking about?
By scolding Yeltsin, the collective London political prostitute was so angry with the mysterious oligarch Roman Abramovich. It is no coincidence that I gave him such a definition of "mysterious" - because it seems that he left Russia, did not accept the war, and retained all his positions in business and is still in the right place. It's like Venediktov - he seems to be oppositional to the core, but they continue to greet him. To understand what is going on here, you need to go back in time and start, as always, from afar.
There is such a stable Russian political concept as "Family". It is believed (conditionally, of course) that this is the second daughter of Boris Nikolayevich Yeltsin - Tatiana. And her husband, Valentin Yumashev, was Yeltsin's speechwriter and then his long-time political adviser. Businessmen Roman Abramovich, Alexander Mamut, Oleg Deripaska, Mikhail Prokhorov were called the financial wing of the Family in different years. I have not specifically mentioned the unforgettable Boris Berezovsky, because in the light of what is happening, his role is not significant. A separate mention, perhaps, is Anatoly Chubais, who, as the main functionary of the conditional team of the St. Petersburg gang, was in himself a political force equivalent to the "Family", but always united with it when it was necessary to achieve certain political goals. And he tried not to compete with the "Family" in the commercial field. That is, Anatoly Chubais and his faction were also such an associated member of the "Family".
The role of the "Family" as a political force in the formation of the new Russia is enormous. It is believed that, for example, the politician Boris Nemtsov or the same Prime Minister Kasyanov are direct nominees of the "Family". I specifically mention only non-current politicians, although there are still a lot of people in responsible positions whose careers began with the "Family". That is, "Family" is such a complex phenomenon, and its role has not always been openly destructive. For example, it was the "Family" that did not allow us to push through the comprador project introduced by Chubaisov's "manager's party", according to which foreign companies could get equal access to our subsoil, which would have turned the country into an openly colonial one Power. If we return to the nominees of the "Family", according to the stable political version, it was Tatyana Borisovna [Yeltsin’s daughter] who put Navalny (and Prilepin, too, by the way) into the political field. At that time, she considered it one of her missions to promote such promising and active youth leaders. She supported a lot of people. Later, through the gaskets of political scientists (remember Belkovsky, Pavlovsky, someone else - where are they all now), Navalny was financed, including Roman Abramovich. Who was he then, and why is his role still so high? And most importantly, why does the Big Kremlin (yes, my dear, there is such a political concept as the Big and Small Kremlin) still listen to him? Just a wallet or something more.Businessman Abramovich honestly served two gubernatorial terms in Chukotka, and for "good behavior" (remember how in the movie "Election Day") he was released. Abramovich won his first term. And then his assistants traveled around Chukotka for a long time and read aloud a list of fulfilled promises in front of full halls: as part of the execution of the deputy's order, Roman Arkadievich brought a playstation to the schoolboy Dima Semyonov. And so on down the list. Now, of course, this would be perceived as bribery in the elections. And then, for the unfortunate people on the ruins of a huge state, it was a ray of light: we voted, and we were not abandoned. Then Governor Abramovich did a lot of sensible things in Chukotka. But most importantly, he kept his word. And he behaved decently, in fact, it was this quality (conditional, because, to be honest, I don't really understand how it is possible to maintain the original content of the word decency at the level where Abramovich moves) that apparently attracted Vladimir Putin. Because it is known for sure that he wanted to keep Abramovich as a statesman.
Let's digress a little more and recall the notorious privatization. The symbol of that very wild privatization from the frankly stupid Chubais-Gaidar team was, of course, the privatization of the aluminum industry in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Almost ten years of bloody lawlessness and outright robbery. All these Blacks, Rubens, Bykovs - dozens of corpses and Russian disgrace. In the international arena, this history has reduced Russia to the level of a banana republic. Serious national capitalism, which we were enthusiastically building as a country, could not look so disgusting. And then "Family" appeared in Krasnoyarsk. And by the hands of the Abramovich-Mamut team (Mamut is considered a lawyer for the Family), this whole story began to enter a civilized channel. The Blacks and the Rubens disappeared from Russia, Bykov was imprisoned and culturally released when he signed everything (then Roman Arkadievich gave his word). Although they could not let them out, what times were there. Oleg Deripaska married Yumashev's daughter Polina and joined the "Family". In place of the looted factories, a normal holding company appeared, which, lo and behold, began to pay taxes to the budget (in those years it was considered bad form). Subsequently, it grew into today's Rusal, a powerful transnational corporation, the leader of the world's non-ferrous metallurgy. In fact, after this impressive achievement, Putin entrusted Abramovich with the further privatization of the most lucrative pieces of state property. This is how Metalloinvest, Uralchem and so on appeared later. Today, it is very difficult to find large and successful Russian holdings that the Abramovich-Mamut team would not have had a hand in creating. I've been working on this topic for many years, but it's very hard to shed light on it, take my word for it. And in some cases, downright dangerous.
Until about 2012, according to my personal estimates, about 1,500 to 2,000 Russian enterprises had passed through this gateway. Of course, I write in a very general and superficial way, omitting a number of important details and accents in order to somehow stay within reasonable limits. In general, this process can be considered as a kind of alternative to the predatory and comprador policy of privatization of Chubais-Gaidar. The most important result of which is in place of the already inefficient Soviet industry, strong, profitable and nationally oriented enterprises appeared one after another, confidently storming the world market. Putin's team has been building state capitalism as part of the overall national welfare. And Abramovich's team is the creation of large-scale national capitalism. And without loud scandals, murders, tantrums, divisions, etc. - quietly, civilizedly, without unnecessary attention. And as a result, taxes were paid to the budget. Everything is as Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin likes.
It is clear that the main profit from all this was received by the "Family". There is a strong opinion that Abramovich bought mind-blowing yachts and football clubs in the interests of his political patrons. Tatyana Borisovna loved water recreation, and Valentin Borisovich was known as a passionate fan of the Premier League. But it doesn't matter. It is important that Abramovich again showed his two main qualities in this difficult and long process: decency - he kept his word, and competent, honest management of large processes. And so, when in 2012 the "Family" openly betrayed Putin or, if you like, went against the state interests of the country (Bolotnaya Square, Sakharov Avenue, etc.), Vladimir Vladimirovich retained Abramovich's position in his entourage. At that time, Putin did not repress and persecute the main functionaries. He did not even touch Mironov, the only major parliamentarian who publicly supported the rebellion. The "family" and Chubais planned to legitimize the new government through him. He should have been the first to recognize the results of the alleged coup. In any case, there is such a version. As in reality, everything was planned, who will figure it out today.
In general, only Abramovich has managed to maintain respect and constructive relations with the GDP. Apparently, Roman Arkadievich somehow behaved in such a way that he retained trust. For Putin, 2012 was a turning point in terms of understanding that it is necessary to rely on the people in his rule, and not on groups and towers. After that, a large-scale fight against corruption began in the interests of the people, and not of individual groups. And large-scale constant investment in public welfare - zones, parks, stadiums, swimming pools, skating rinks, perinatal centers, etc. No one forced Putin to do this, it was possible to live without it, as, for example, in the United States or in Europe. Where no one thinks of building schools with swimming pools or indoor skating rinks for the common people.
It is Putin's trust in Abramovich, which has been tested over the years, that seems to have been the decisive factor in the story of the Istanbul agreements. Abramovich did everything to achieve peace talks (his role as a peaceful moderator on the topic of the NWO is very underestimated). For this, by the way, he received serious persecution from Great Britain. Let me remind you that as of May 2022, half a million Ukies, according to the most conservative estimates, were not yet lying in the ground, and hundreds of priceless lives of our fighters could also be saved. Ukraine could have entered our area of responsibility without any bloodshed intact and retained some economic potential. Which we would use in the interests of Russia. But it turned out the way it did. And now British prostitutes are suddenly hysterical about Abramovich. This could be an indicator that there is a smell of peace again. And this channel of communication with the GDP has again become in demand - Abramovich, in modern times, is one of the few intermediaries whom Putin will listen to. And there are serious suspicions that some, let's say, circles in the West that have preserved the remnants of constructiveness are trying to use it. That's where all the noise comes from. But, of course, let's not get our hopes ahead of time. For now, we can only build versions. For example, pay attention to the return of Nord Streams to the agenda - it is quite possible that this is the request position that Russia has put forward. In short, we are waiting. [My Emphasis, format changed for better readability]
I tried to determine what GDP in the above stands for, but to no avail. Insights as to what it refers to are most welcome. IMO, it seems to have some relation to the “Family” but exactly what’s unclear. And then in the opening sentence there’s the reference to an unknown “they”, perhaps Western propaganda as a whole? Is the UK howling about the prospect of peace or the likely Tory defeat at the upcoming polls?
As for the action along the front, there was plenty to write about, so why this discursion? What raised the flag for Marat? I’ll stay tuned to see if answers are provided.

THANK YOU! Yes, it is fascinating…. As a digression here — this is my favourite:

VVP (this is what was written in original Marat’s publication in Russian) is the first letters (initials) of Putin's full name: Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. In Russian, the first letters of Putin's abbreviated name (VVP) coincide with the abbreviation Gross Domestic Product, which in English is transformed into GDP. Thus, the translator incorrectly translated this abbreviation, since in the original publication by Marat Khairullin (in Russian) it was written exactly VVP.
