Putin clearly enjoyed his visit to the Mashuk Knowledge Center in Pyatigorsk to view the exhibition and see the future vision for the facility.
Oh, he also got to spend time with a bunch of youngsters as you see above who also participated in the Board’s meeting.
As the Kremlin noted, this organization is a hybrid: the Public-State Movement of Children and Youth "Movement of the First." Here’s the additional info provided:
Before the meeting, Vladimir Putin inspected the Exhibition of the Mashuk Knowledge Center, an all-Russian educational center for the training of educational and managerial personnel in the field of education, youth policy and educational work. The project is jointly implemented by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and the Znanie Society.
The Head of State was told about the landmark educational programs of the center (including "Your Hero", "Defenders" Fatherland", "A Trip to Mashuk", "PROdialogue") demonstrated a new space for the exchange of experience and ideas "Library of Knowledge", as well as the "Mentor's Wall" stand.
In the second part of the exhibition, titled A Year on the Move, the President was briefed on the key projects of the All-Russian of the Public-State Movement of Children and Youth "Movement of the First".
Since its launch in July 2022, the number of its participants has exceeded four million, and 89 regional offices have been created. The main activities of the movement are education and the creation of equal opportunities for all-round development, self-realization, creative and social activity of children and young people.
At yesterday’s Meeting of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights, we were informed of the big deficit Russia has in teachers that has increased the pressure on them while attempting to perform their duties. The problem was known but its severity wasn’t, and so much of what Russia wants to do educationally requires another 500,000 teachers—yes, a huge number that are needed now, not in 5-10 years. And that presents a big challenge which as a former educator I empathize with. Russia’s building excellent new facilities, but they need teachers to instruct the students to become successful. And this demographic problem can’t be solved simply by importing non-Russian fluent teachers. Indeed, one of the biggest areas I see in demand is for those able to teach Russian as a second language, which differs from teaching Russian as a foreign language. But that’s an issue for another discussion. Here’s the meeting’s transcript:
Vladimir Putin: Dear colleagues and friends,
I am glad to welcome everyone to the Mashuk Knowledge Center. My colleagues and I have been planning to come here for a long time, I have been invited here for a long time, and, indeed, there is something to see here.
All this was created for the "Movement of the First", and now it has turned into such a good educational center, which, as I see, and my colleagues will tell you later, is very actively used. And, I hope, it brings good results.
And the "Movement of the First", as you know, was created quite recently: the initiative itself was first announced in April 2022 and the initiators were the guys themselves. I cannot but express my satisfaction that the movement itself took place, and the center was created as a place where you can do what the movement itself was created for. But, as I understand it, now the head of the center told us, everything is much broader than originally even thought.
Today, the movement itself unites more than four million people. This is a huge number. We just watched the main projects of the movement together, and the guys showed them. I was pleased, of course, with the revival at a new, modern level of undeservedly forgotten formats that were very popular at the time: I looked there, there are also military themes, such as Zarnitsa ,the Yunnatian movement, and this is also very popular. And all these good old traditions, of course, already help children in our time, young people of the 21st century.
Such continuity of generations, continuity of ideas is very important. To create and develop, we must certainly take the best that we had and move forward, of course.
It is also great that the movement supports children in their efforts to bring benefits right now: write letters, I looked at the stands, collect parcels for our military personnel, be able to provide first aid, and participate in volunteer initiatives.
It was just said here that the desire to help is important first of all, this is true, but still, the ability is also in demand. If there is a desire, but a person cannot do something, then, of course, one desire is clearly not enough, but here they teach how to do it, and this is very good.
In general, there are a lot of projects, they are very different, as I looked at them. Everyone can find what they like best, everyone who is present here and is being trained here: whether it is science, school theater or anything else. This is also the key meaning of the movement – I will repeat it again: to help children, teenagers, and young people discover their abilities, strengths, and find their own path in life. And this is the key to the successful future of our country. Just now, we were talking to the girl who accompanied us. I say ," Do you want to be a doctor?" Because she said something about medicine during the movement through the exhibitions. I say, " Do you want to be a doctor? ""I think," she says, " I'm looking." Great! This is the place that helps you search. An extremely important choice for every person. Perhaps one of the most important decisions in life is to find yourself, choose a future profession.
I have no doubt at all that such a broad program is intended to become one of the key components of the entire "Movement of the First", in fact, the foundation. We are now paying more and more attention to the crucial role that the family, the school, and the education system as a whole play in education. At the same time, projects and areas in which children participate in their free time should also help them find reliable life guidelines.
It is important that they feel part of a big country with its rich history and great culture from the very beginning of their childhood. With those enduring values that have always served as a support and support for people. And of course, with a modern, wide space for self-realization.
In this regard, it is very important that the opportunities provided by the "Movement of the First" are available everywhere, both in large cities and in small towns. And of course, for children from the regions of Donbass and Novorossiya. They are also present here, and I am very happy that people are coming from these regions and getting the necessary support. There's really a lot of work to be done there.
Together, we need to overcome the destructive legacy of first creeping, and then openly aggressive nationalist policies, which were followed by successive authorities in Kiev. When Russophobia, historical fakes were introduced into educational programs, they sowed discord between people. They just purposefully distorted the consciousness of the population-both small, adult, and young people.
I would like to emphasize that the system of personnel training of movement mentors is of great importance. And here, in my opinion, it has become one of the main directions, the requirements for their professional base and personal qualities. So that they can not only pass on knowledge, skills, and experience to children, but also inspire them by their own example. And there are a lot of such mentors here, as the head of the center said just now.
I would like to note one very positive trend. Both children and their parents participate in many of the movement's projects together, which is very good and very cool.
Let me remind you that next year, 2024, has been declared the Year of the Family. And of course, such work is an important contribution to strengthening the values that unite our society.
I hope that today we will also talk about the prospects for the development of the movement. At the same time, its key principle should remain unchanged: it is children, teenagers, and young people who are co – authors of all decisions. The movement should be built around what is close and interesting to them, and the task of adults is to provide the necessary support.
It is right that our young colleagues are also participating in our meeting and in the work of the supervisory board. I hope that you will give your assessment of what has already been done, share your ideas and suggestions for the future. I would also like to thank the representatives of the Russian business community and all our colleagues who promptly joined the Board of Trustees of the Movement of the First.
Let's discuss all the stated topics. I give the floor to Grigory Alexandrovich Gurov. You are welcome.
G. Gurov: Thank you very much, Vladimir Vladimirovich.
Dear members of the Supervisory Board,
Recent years have really become a new stage in the development of the education system in our country. Starting from 2020, after the amendments to the Law on Education, education is given a primary role in working with children and young people.
"The Movement of the First" is a new social institution of public and state education of children and youth. The creation of the Movement is conditioned by the request for the formation of a single educational space in our country. And our task is to involve all the existing institutions related to childhood and youth in the education of the younger generation, so that every child, parents, and teachers feel part of a single community that shares common values and goals. Now everyone who is interested knows where to go.
The "Movement of the First" expands its activities wherever there are children: in schools, universities, cultural institutions, sports, additional education, youth policy. About 40 thousand primary branches are already operating in all regions of our country. Everyone really helps you create a Movement.
Mr President, you mentioned business representatives today. Indeed, a Board of Trustees has been formed, which includes the heads of major companies under the leadership of Maxim Stanislavovich Oreshkin. These are German Oskarovich Gref, Igor Ivanovich Sechin, Vladimir Olegovich Potanin, Oleg Valentinovich Belozerov, Alexey Yevgenyevich Likhachev and many others. This is a great support for us.
Together, we create an educational space that is safe and accessible to all participants. This is a collective socially significant and socially useful activity of children and adults united by a common goal and values. This is the place where adults are brought up with children.
For the systematic organization of our main activities in accordance with the Law on the Movement, we need to consider and adopt a program of educational activities of the Movement. The program that we have been working on for a year is practice-oriented, aimed at children and adults, parents and mentors. The action applies to extracurricular activities, free time, outside of the educational process, including outside of educational organizations. These are clear and simple formulas for educating a citizen and patriot, which are based on traditional Russian spiritual and moral values, collective socially significant activities of children and adults, and children's self-government.
The program is the result of the collective work of the Movement of the First, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, together with the Russian Society "Knowledge", ANO" Russia – land of Opportunities", the Russian Academy of Education and leading scientists in the field of education and the children's Movement.
This is the main document that will guide primary, local, and regional branches of the Movement, teachers, and mentors when organizing socially significant and socially useful activities for children.
The program is based on the following principles: co-authorship (we do only together, not instead), continuity of generations, practical benefits, education in a team (not "I", but "we are together"), a space of equal opportunities and, of course, education by personal example.
As you said, Mr Putin, there are already about 4 million people in the Movement of the First. Everything that we do, Mr Putin, we do together with the guys, and not instead. Therefore, today we would like the children to tell us what they are doing and what we propose to include in the Program of educational activities.
If you'll excuse me, I'll give you the floor.
Today, an activist of the Movement is present at the meeting of the Supervisory Board, she has been in the Movement since the very beginning, today the Council of the local branch of the Vysokogorsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan is headed by Zukhra Zufarova.
З.Zufarova: Hello!
My name is Zufarova Zukhra, I came from the Republic of Tatarstan. My journey in the Movement began with the regional forum " Alga! Let's go!", where we met the Movement and activists.
The most important thing that the Movement has given me is the opportunity to be an author of what it does. We have a dedication to the "Movement of the First" in the Republic, we are given a bracelet and a badge with the symbol of the Movement. But, unfortunately, the bracelet is frayed. And then we with a team of four people suggested to change the bracelets, and our idea was not only held, but also allowed to come up with the design themselves. And now the whole republic is dedicated to our bracelets.
It is also important to have the opportunity to work with adults on equal terms. They treat you not as an activist, but as a colleague.
I am the chairman of the local branch of the Movement of the First in the Vysokogorsky district. We have a big team, but, unfortunately, we don't have our own traffic house. And when, after a conversation with the head of the district, we agreed that we would have our own house, he allowed us to come up with the design of our space as we see our house. And now our team is working hard on this.
Of course, when I was driving, I couldn't avoid the "Sports" direction. I run marathons, charity marathons to save the forests of Siberia, orphanages and orphanages. And just recently, we held the Games of the First digital tournaments, where I had the opportunity to be the head of the children's directorate. And now we are developing digital, putting together our own League of the first.
I learned to take responsibility for my words and actions. And I really want all activists to have the same opportunity – to be the author of what our Movement does.
Vladimir Putin: So we will do it. You know, I feel that you have a list prepared. We can appeal to those who are here in the hall, and to those who are in touch with us. I would like to ask how everything that the Movement of the First does is implemented in practice? And the Movement itself, how is it implemented in practical life, say, at the school level?
Gerasimova Darya Andreyevna should be in touch with us. She is an adviser to the director of education in Bryansk, 58th school of Bryansk.
D. Gerasimova: Hello!
My name is Daria Gerasimova. I am an adviser to the director of education at school No. 58 in Bryansk.
I have been working at the school for 15 years, teaching a foreign language. Thanks to you, Mr Putin, this is the third year that I have been not only performing an educational service, but also educating the younger generation. After all, with the advent of the position of adviser, educational work returned to the school.
In our school, for example, there have been big changes. If earlier we had 10-15 activists for the entire school for 1050 people, today there are 10-15 activists in each class of our school, who not only actively participate in school events, but also are the initiators of the events themselves.
Now there are really a lot of opportunities in our country, and the mission of the adviser is to see the potential of the child, create conditions around him where he can realize them, and awaken his activity, and join in important things in the team. For example, in our school it is very fashionable to be a health worker. That is, the children play sports and lead a healthy lifestyle. Noticing this, I began to offer more such events. And a few months ago, our school was visited by eight-time world champion in arm lifting Boyarov Alexander, he gave us a health lesson. The event turned out to be of a huge scale and will be remembered for a long time by us and the guys. But it was still my initiative and my choice of guest.
And today we are working with the largest children's public association in Russia-the Movement of the First, which takes educational work beyond the school. Today, children have a unique opportunity to choose sites independently, choose people with whom they would like to communicate, meet friends, and meet children from different cities.
The "Movement of the first" in our school opened on September 1. The students gathered the council of the asset and decided that we in our school, knowing that there is such a Movement, would very much like to accept it. We gathered our staff, wrote a statement, and the "Movement of the First" started in this direction.
I would also like to emphasize that the continuity of the educational process is very important and very valuable for us in the "Movement of the First". Because when children leave school, they go to other educational institutions that also have primary departments. Our school has a vivid example: a graduate, Alexander Levshin, who, as a student at the university and an activist of the "Movement of the First", created the largest volunteer corps in our region. And today, he is also a mentor for our students at school, for our volunteers, who also did a great job of weaving nets, writing letters to military personnel and collecting parcels.
All the things that happen at school happen exclusively on the initiative of the children. And we, the advisers, support them in this and are also happy to help them.
Vladimir Vladimirovich, I would like to say that thanks to you, this Year as a teacher and mentor has truly become a real one. Thank you so much for this, for your support.
Vladimir Putin: Thank you.
Gordeeva Anna Aleksandrovna, is she somewhere on the screen or here? Here. You are welcome.
A. Gordeeva: Hello, Vladimir Vladimirovich!
My name is Anna Gordeeva, I am from the Vologda region.
I have been working as an adviser to the director of education for three years, my teaching experience is 12 years, and the total teaching experience of my family is 136 years. Therefore, we can say that I came to my profession by vocation.
An adviser to the director of education is the person who unites the entire school staff: students, teachers, and parents. And conducts systematic educational work, a real "navigator" of childhood.
We bring up children in a team. In our case, this is an association based on interests and hobbies and a student – to-student mentoring system. I run the Media program. We have created our own school media center, where children organize themselves, and they are already doing a great job even without me. So, on November 30, they conducted a legal dictation and collective creative work in an elementary school to create cool coats of arms.
And we also have a symbol of our media center-this is the dinosaur Kesha. We write posts on his behalf, and he is our most important correspondent.
When the First Ones ' Movement was launched, there were actually unique opportunities for my children's talents to go beyond school. And they do it. So, for example, our activist Ksenia joined the "Council of the First" of the Vologda Municipal District and is preparing for the regional one. Children grow up, learn and pass on their experience to other children, and I am always there for them, just like 32 thousand" navigators " of childhood across the country. We do and will continue to make our children happy.
I still have one very important mission from my guys to ask you a question from Kesha, in his category.
Can I?
Vladimir Putin: Please.
A. Gordeeva: Mr President, please tell me what is the kindest memory of my childhood, connected with my family.
Vladimir Putin: With your family?
This is such a very intimate thing, I will only reveal the beginning of this story. My mother put me in a corner – I don't remember why - and for some time she kept walking around, glaring at me, asking me questions: "Are you going to ask for forgiveness or not?" How this story ended, I will tell you one on one. (Laughter.)
I'll omit some of it. She ended up kissing me on her own, pulling me out of this corner, and that was the end of the story. But the way she did it is a separate conversation.
A. Gordeeva: Thank you.
Vladimir Putin: I have a question for Anna Alexandrovna and Darya Andreyevna.
Here's the question. What would you like the Ministry, the Government, the administration of the region or the city where you live to do to support your work – the first part of the question. The second is the "Movement of the First", how to set it up so that it really fits seamlessly into school work, so that one thing supports the other and pushes it forward in the right direction.
D. Gerasimova: I.
A few days ago, we gathered here, we, the advisers, met with the guys from the "Movement of the First". You know, in just a few hours we are one close-knit family. It would be possible for such events to attract councilors to the Movement, because we still do one thing, starting from school, and the "Movement of the First" helps us to do it outside of school.
I don't know what else to do. I communicate with the guys, they are all so friendly, so all set up for something kind, positive, so all loving their Homeland big and small. I don't know, it seems to me that there are just a lot of events and what else to add, I don't have any ideas yet.
Vladimir Putin: It's not about events. Do you need something extra to organize your work or support your work?
D. Gerasimova: I can't think of anything else yet, though. Everyone is so well off. Our guys really go to different cities and attend different events when participating in projects. The school is also quite systematically organized.
Vladimir Putin: Good. Thank you.
A. Gordeeva: Yes, I agree with Daria. We have a center for children's initiatives at our school. We now have a modern media center, where children really like to study.
From what could be added. Probably, we all have enough time to do everything.
As it is, we have a very good relationship with the Movement of the First, with the local branch, so everything is going well for us.
Vladimir Putin: Excellent.
You just asked me about my family memories. It was a very long time ago, I was probably three or four years old, something like that, but I remember it, imagine.
But we are talking about involving families in our joint work, as I said in my opening remarks. Therefore, I would like to ask Ekaterina Rykun how she sees the organization of what we do. Your son is also taking part, right? You are welcome.
E. Rykun: Good afternoon!
I am glad to welcome you to our small but very cozy city of Pyatigorsk. For me, and probably for most parents, the most important thing in life is children. I have three of them, and they are all very active in different fields, plus everyone is engaged in social activities. As a result, since I always shared their interests, I also became involved in such active activities over time. Now I am a representative of the parent community in the Council of the regional branch of the "Movement of the first" of the Stavropol Territory.
I would like to say that we also have representatives from the Council of Fathers on the Council. It is very important for us that we, as parents, cannot just observe the work of the Movement, but also participate in it, make suggestions to the Movement. During the year, we studied and discussed the program. I really liked that the program reflects the fact that important traditions are preserved, aimed at strengthening the values of this Movement. Also that the program reflects continuity. Because, while studying the directions in the Movement, I unwittingly drew parallels with my distant childhood as a pioneer and realized that what was once good in a pioneer organization is now taking on new forms in the "Movement of the First". Previously, there were Timurov residents, now they are volunteers.
There are also a lot of interesting areas in the lives of children, and old ones are being revived. For example, hiking. Not only children can take part in these routes, but families can also take part in them. Quite recently, with the families of activists of the "Movement of the First" from all over the Stavropol Territory, we made an ascent to Mount Beshtau.
Vladimir Putin: Yes, but you only took two children, and the third child?
E. Rykun: The third one was a little older, already far away.
Vladimir Putin: I've already been told that.
Yevgeny Rykun: Yes, he has already been to Moscow, he is working, but he couldn't participate. Usually, when I was a little younger, we all went to all these events together. Now there are only two left side by side.
I want to say that such joint events provide an opportunity to express themselves differently, and as a result, the relationship between parents and children is then strengthened, because children also see their parents in a completely different image, in different conditions. It is very important.
We also discussed this topic among many others at the All-Russian Parent Forum, which was held in Orlyonka, because the topic of adult-child relationships is important for all parents, regardless of the region of residence. Only by our example can we bring up in children the qualities that we want to see in them.
Therefore, we try to cultivate positive traits not only with words, but also with our example to show how it is generally possible to change the world around us for the better.
It is great that meetings and family forums such as "Dear and Beloved" have been held-a forum was held in Moscow just a week ago and brought together many families from different parts of Russia.
Children are the future. Only together, united, united, can we bring up a decent future for the country.
We are very happy that next year has been declared the "Year of the Family". Probably, on behalf of the entire parent community, I want to thank you for paying so much attention to this topic, because family and friendship are two great treasures of any person.
It would be great if next year, the" Year of the Family", could start with an All-Russian family festival, where, I am sure, there will be an atmosphere of friendship and unity. That would be great.
Vladimir Putin: This is completely unexpected for us. When we announced that we would have family competitions, this topic started very quickly, there were a lot of interested parties and participants. Lyosha [Rykun] has already told me that we went to the mountains, on a hike. By the way, I gave a very good description of the physical capabilities of both my mother and sister. So you seem to have everything in order.
And the "Movement of the First" itself – you are still, as I understand it, a member of the regional council, you are actively involved in this work - what else would you add or set up this work in some way?
Ye. Rykun: To be honest, nothing will come to mind right now, because everything is developing so harmoniously at the moment, and a lot of attention is being paid to issues of education, to the fact that children can take their own initiative, make some decisions on their own, and we, adults, just as some kind of social responsibility. We can offer you support, support, and advice. That is, at the moment it is still harmonious. Perhaps even later, when some questions will arise in the course of work that you will want to correct or add…
G. Gurov: Mr President, we will not become bureaucrats, no.
Vladimir Putin: I hope, because no matter what you start, no matter what you do, you end up with a Kalashnikov assault rifle. It's the same here – no matter what event you start, it still gets overgrown with bureaucracy later. But if you understand this threat and are already thinking about it so that you don't become a bureaucrat, that's great. I hope that this will happen as soon as possible. And by that time, we'll come up with something else, some new format, a new idea.
I would, you know what I'd like? Ask Sergey Kravtsov how the Ministry assesses what is happening and what the Ministry believes should be done in joint work.
S. : Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, Dear colleagues!
We discussed today's educational program, which is being considered by the Supervisory Board, with teachers and teachers. It is fully supported and is a very important element, and will generally be an integral part of the educational work that we have just discussed.
We have approved a single plan, a single calendar of educational work. We have sent materials "Our Heroes" to the regions, about outstanding people who have made a special contribution to the development of the state, including the heroes of the SVO. Now the materials are also used in the work of "Movement of the First". We have sent recommendations on the design of school spaces, because often you come to school with bare walls, and you can imagine them interesting so that they carry an educational component. And the children themselves are involved in creating various expositions at school.
The project "Conversations about Important things" is being implemented for the second year. One of the classes was devoted to the "Movement of the First", where we talked about the opportunities that the Movement gives to schoolchildren, parents, the opportunity to self-actualize and offer their own projects that adults can then implement.
Also, dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, we had "Conversations about important things", talked about education, on the topic "What is the Motherland", "New Year's family traditions of different peoples of Russia"," Day of Russian Science"," Crimea: the way home", "Russia is a healthy power".
And of course, a powerful human resource today (both Daria Andreyevna and Anna Alexandrovna said) – advisers to the director of education. I would like to thank you separately for the support of our advisors.
Starting this academic year, advisors are introduced not only in schools, but also in colleges. This is also very important. Often difficult teenagers come, but they want to get a working specialty. When they are involved in a positive agenda and are developed by such active young teachers as Daria Andreevna and Anna Alexandrovna, this is, of course, very important.
I would like to say that all the advisers were trained at Artek, which has preserved methods from the Soviet era, so that the children would be interested, so that it would be informal, so that the children would be involved in a positive agenda.
As for the proposal, Mr President, I would like to say that we have a very important project with the Russian Movement of Children and Youth, in my opinion. This is the project "Eaglets of Russia" for primary schools.
We have also developed a special program where there are directions for working with children: "Leader", "Erudite", "Sportsman", "Master", "Volunteer"; materials for advanced training and teacher training in working with primary school students, materials on organizing children's recreation.
It is very important that children take part in the project" Eaglets of Russia " as a whole class. They are accompanied by a primary school teacher, a parenting adviser, and a high school mentor. Starting from elementary school, we see how real teams are formed in a good way charged, proactive, and enthusiastic schoolchildren.
To date, this project is three years old, 100 thousand school teams, and this is more than 2.5 million children from all regions.
We suggest, dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, to scale this project to preschool age as well. Experts, methodologists and scientists say that these activities like "Eaglets" should be implemented in kindergartens. You remember, and Nikita Mikhalkov says that education, he is absolutely right, actually begins from the moment the child moved to kindergarten, and maybe even earlier. Our goal for the near future is to build work with preschoolers.
Second suggestion. Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, I am currently at the international exhibition "Russia". This exhibition attracts a lot of attention of both children and parents. It demonstrates the broadest horizons that our country opens up for everyone today: study, career, knowledge of the world, self-realization.
In general, the exhibition "Russia" is a strong, simply grandiose, unique project. I'm sure you saw that yesterday, too. You can appreciate all the diversity of unique regions, folk customs, natural beauties and riches of our country, see our achievements in various sectors of the economy, in art, sports, education, and experience pride in our Fatherland.
We are now organizing lessons here, and there is a possibility of visiting group excursions. But meanwhile, we understand how big our country is, and it is clear that, unfortunately, not all schoolchildren can visit the exhibition, although we are doing everything possible to ensure that as many students as possible visit it.
Since this school year, we have organized career guidance on your behalf, and every Thursday there are lessons "Russia-my horizons" for students in grades 6-11. More than 8 million schoolchildren participate. So, we suggest that together with the Russian Movement of Children and Youth, the Znanie Society, at these career guidance lessons, we talk about the exhibition and conduct such reports from the pavilions so that every student can see certain achievements and also participate in the exhibition. If there is such a suggestion, please support it.
Thank you.
Vladimir Putin: Good. Thank you very much.
You are right, of course, education begins not only in kindergarten, even earlier-probably, at the birth of a child, education already begins, he feels how his relatives treat him.
Alexandra asked me about my childhood memories. This is an unexpected question for me, right? The first thing that came to mind: my mother put it in the corner, went, went, asked: "You're going to ask for forgiveness, aren't you?" Then she picked me up and started putting me in different places. Do you understand? This motherly love, I think, in each of us subconsciously accompanies us all our lives. This is parenting. It is no coincidence that we have declared next year the Year of the Family, and this year the Year of the mentor. This is important, and I am very pleased that you mentioned it and noted it. It is important.
Grigory Alexandrovich, I'm giving you the reins of power again.
G. Gurov: Thank you very much, Vladimir Vladimirovich.
We have two partners who organize our work. We are developing the Movement outside of school together with the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs. I would like to ask Ksenia Razuvaeva to speak as well.
To.Razuvaeva: Thank you very much.
Vladimir Vladimirovich! Dear members of the Supervisory Board, Good day to all!
I want to say that everything we do in the Movement – I think this is very important – we do from the perspective of children, answering the question of what is really important, necessary and, most importantly, useful for them.
Vladimir Vladimirovich, you said today that education is possible only through personal examples. Children really need this example very much. That is why today we are developing a very large network of patriotic clubs and centers of patriotic education in the regions of our country. There are already more than 35 thousand of them, and today they have mentors who show by personal example what it means to choose serving the Fatherland as your life's work. Among them, including the heroes of a special military operation.
Here I want to give you an absolutely amazing example. Just yesterday, at the "We are Together" award in the "Mentor of the Year" category, Ruslan Zakharov was awarded, he is an active fighter of the SVO in the "Sparta" battalion, a sports coach himself. He was wounded, unfortunately, lost a leg, but returned to his comrades, and on vacation he continues to work with children, support them and act as a mentor for them.
There are actually a lot of such examples. That is exactly why today, together with the Movement, we are conducting a project called "Your Hero", which helps to train and involve in patriotic work such guys who have passed a special military operation today and have a completely unique experience and are an example of courage. "Zarnitsa 2.0" – you were told about it during the exhibition today, Vladimir Vladimirovich-this perception of children in this new format is also due to the fact that there they come into contact with real heroes, with real combat commanders. This has a completely different effect.
In this regard, since people are asking for suggestions today, I would also like to make a suggestion that we, together with the Movement and the Warrior centers, and in fact with many other large patriotic organizations in our country, launch a special competition for mentors, which would again allow us to identify and attract the best specialists in our field. the sphere of patriotic education. If you support us, we would be happy to work out and organize such a competition.
The second thing I would like to say, if I may. Children want to make the world a better place, and for us, in turn, it is important that children are really brought up from childhood on our traditional values, which are based on charity and mutual assistance. You said today that desire is not enough, you also need skill. Our task is to create an environment for them to do this, including outside of schools. That is why today we are creating primary branches of the children's Movement on the basis of our volunteer centers, which are deployed all over the country, and the children are preserving the environment, improving monuments, helping younger children, often children who have some special features of development, this is also very important, and, of course, they are also included in support of our fighters, in the work of the "We are together" headquarters. Today, children are really such an engine of the general volunteer movement in our country.
The third thing I would like to say is: It is extremely important for us to form a sense of belonging and love for the Motherland, for our country, and for a small homeland and a big homeland from childhood. To do this, children need to know the country, and children have a huge demand and need for this knowledge. In fact, the best way to receive them is through travel, when children can see the scale of our country, achievements, and people who live in our country firsthand, not from TV screens. That is why, in accordance with your instructions, we are taking children to different parts of our country today as part of the "More than a Trip" program.
I can also mention here a completely unique project that we are doing with Russian Railways, when the most active participants of the Movement go on a journey from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok across the country with stops in each city. This is really an unforgettable experience for the children and in fact a dream, probably not only for any child in our country, but also for an adult. It's great that our children have such opportunities today.
And, of course, so that the participants of the Movement better know their small homeland, we are developing hiking tourism, hiking. Today, too, it was already remembered. This is really something that each of us remembers from childhood.
The main value, probably, and in general the basis of education is the family. We also talked about this today. That is why we have started to involve parents and entire families in our work. We have a family community "Native-Beloved". Today it unites more than 200 thousand families across the country. These are families where parents really support their children, are ready to implement themselves together with them, develop, participate in our competitions, accompany children, and make projects with them. And we also respond to this request – for communication between parents and children, for bringing generations closer together, for such joint co-creation.
In conclusion, Mr President, I would like to make one more suggestion. Today we are adopting a program of educational work of the Movement. And, in fact, in accordance with it, programs for other activities of the Movement in the most priority areas will have to be developed further. And it seems that we will not exaggerate if we say that today, probably, one of the main priorities is just patriotic work. And in fact, all that I have just said and what was said earlier is, in fact, different elements of patriotic education.
Therefore, we would suggest creating a program of patriotic education of the Movement's participants, which would combine all these elements. And if you support us, we will start this work together with the Movement, with the Ministry of Education, with other departments and organizations. We think it will be very useful. Please support us.
Thank you very much.
Vladimir Putin: Thank you for your ideas and suggestions.
Sorry, we have to contact Olga Kazakova from the State Duma. I would be interested in how she and her colleagues view what is happening and what is being initiated, and how the State Duma could support this "Movement".
Olga Kazakova: Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich,
Dear colleagues!
I would like to say, Mr Putin, that when the draft law on the creation of the Movement of the First was discussed in the State Duma, I think it was the warmest discussion and such a degree of interest, because there were a lot of personal memories, there was a lot of projection on today's children, on working with our kids, with our schoolchildren. Therefore, of course, the State Duma supports all the directions that Rosmolodezh, the Movement of the First and the Ministry of Education offer today.
We reflect these proposals in the draft laws and, moreover, when passing the budget, of course, we all very amicably vote for those areas that are directly related to the upbringing of children, because for us in the State Duma this is really a priority topic right now. We all see a very powerful public demand for parenting issues. And this is a very close, native topic for everyone. And I think the most valuable thing, Mr Putin, is that there are initiatives from the guys themselves. This is a huge opportunity for them to manifest themselves. They feel like adults, they feel like creators. Through this" Movement " they do a lot and see the result of their work-they see feedback, gratitude from the elderly people they help.
The action that was held, "A letter to a soldier", it is incredible, even first-graders write such letters for the New Year.
Mr Putin, we support the development of this "Movement", and we have been looking forward to it very much. Once again, I want to say that we will do everything that is needed from us, and, as in our childhood, it was: "Always ready".
Thank you very much.
Vladimir Putin: Thank you.
I would like to give the floor to Lyubov Glebova, Federation Council.
You are welcome.
L. Glebova: Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich,
Dear colleagues!
I am the chairman of the Scientific and methodological Council of the Movement of the First. During the year, the Scientific and Methodological Council provided the development of this program and, as a result, formed an expert examination for this program.
The program of educational work is primarily, of course, the main concept document of the "Movement". It defines the strategic lines that consolidate the educational potential of the Movement and its other social partners.
Of course, the program is primarily addressed to members of the "Movement" - both adults and children, but it is a reference point for all those who deal with issues of education in our country.
The program very clearly defines the goals that reflect the state policy in the field of education of children and youth, formulates the value basis of education, which is based on traditional Russian spiritual and moral values, describes the content and mechanisms of implementation of this program.
We also have a complete picture of human resources and the expected results of this work.
The program was created by the efforts of scientists, teachers, and practitioners. I immediately remembered the idea that education is not only a pedagogical category. Practitioners of educational work, representatives of youth policy, family policy, tourism, and culture participated in this work. Basically, these were all people who are engaged in practical activities in this matter.
Then there was a broad public and professional discussion, which took place in the regions, in the State Duma, in the Federation Council, in the Public Chamber. The Russian Academy of Education made a great contribution to this. And all this provided support for the continuity of the traditions of Russian pedagogical science, the development of traditions of children's organizations in Russia, taking into account the experiences and mistakes that were in the development of the children's "Movement", and of course, and perhaps, first of all, on the modern practice of Russian educational activities.
The program provides an opportunity for each member of the "Movement" – both adults and children-to find a field of activity that is interesting to them, which allows them to realize themselves. Most importantly, it should be noted that it is in the" Movement of the First " that this activity is socially significant, it is diverse, interesting, useful, collective and, most importantly, forms responsibility for the overall result. And the activity must also be creative, because the slogan in the communal methodology, which is the basis of all collective creative activities, is: "Everything is creative. Otherwise, why?"
This type of activity creates conditions for combining adults and children, despite the fact that they are people of different ages, different social groups, and different physical abilities. This partnership of children and adults, which is described in the program, is what makes it unique in comparison with other educational programs, because all other programs describe, as rules, the actions of adults in relation to children. And only in our organization's program is this interaction defined as a partnership.
And it should be especially noted, of course, that the program contains the ideas of an educational space, in which the pedagogically organized social environment and those, in fact, educational events that are created by these joint efforts of children and adults just intersect. And this is where the co-authorship that was discussed today in all the practical experiments that already exist in this country comes into being.
The program is, of course, not something that educates in itself. Of course, a person brings up another person. But it is the program that will allow nearby adults and children to make them interesting for each other.
The program also provides opportunities for all organizations that participate in this work to become more attractive to the child. The teacher and the organizing teacher should use the rich content and variety of mechanisms of action to take into account in their work program of education. It is important for parents that the program provides employment for children in interesting and useful activities, and if they wish, parents can also join it. For all authorities that are called upon to create conditions for the functioning and development of the organization, an understanding is formed of how effective education of the younger generation can take place at this present stage. The Movement's partners – including business structures, public organizations, and mass media – get guidance from the program on what and how to interact with the organization.
Thus, the program reflects the systematic interaction of all subjects of educational work, and in general, the program is a complete document that the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Movement of the First recommends for approval.
Vladimir Putin: Thank you.
Mr. Gurov: Mr President, we can then approve the program, and we have discussed it.
Vladimir Putin: I still have to ask Tatyana Alekseevna Golikova. Tatiana Alekseevna, please.
T. : Good evening, Vladimir Vladimirovich!
Good evening, dear friends!
I want to start by wishing everyone a happy Volunteer Day today. Today, after all, we celebrate this day, and it is a wonderful day. This is the day of caring people, people who care about their neighbors, for their country and strive to make it better. So once again, I would like to thank everyone for their hard work and thank you, Mr President, for leading this work and giving us the opportunity to develop in the areas that our country currently has and that are our absolute priorities.
If we return to the "Movement of the First" and to the program that we are considering as the main issue today. Yes, it is prepared by the community, the teaching community, and people who are extremely interested in it. It certainly does not raise any questions, and it should probably be accepted.
It seems to me that what was not mentioned today is the attitude of the guys to this program. The guys themselves know how they relate to it, how they perceive the main tasks, principles and directions that are laid down.
Yes, the head of the "Movement" said that we discussed this with the guys, but it is very important how it will work in practical application. Children will live within the framework of this educational program, or they will have their own ideas about how the "Movement" should develop and what should happen.
It seems to me that it is very important that during the period, at least until the next Supervisory Board, after approving this program, ask the children to tell us next time whether these very principles are correctly formulated and whether we have correctly set the main tasks and main areas of education.
Because the main thing for the "Movement" here, in my opinion, is to unlock the potential of children and young people and, in fact, prepare them for adulthood, for the correctness of the actions that they will perform and the decisions that they will make.
Here, I think what you said at the beginning is very important – the role of a mentor. In a sense, the" Movement "acts as a mentor for those young guys who are in this "Movement", who decide to join it. Here, it seems to me, this is a synergy that could give its result in cooperation, since next year will be a full-fledged year when the "Movement" will work. And it is very important that during this period, the period of direct work, and not becoming, we evaluate the correctness of our first steps.
Therefore, we believe that the program should be approved, but still offer at the next Supervisory Board to hear the opinion of the guys, how much it corresponds to their perception of the "Movement" that they have joined.
Mr President, I would also like to thank you for the Year of the family. We are currently developing a corresponding work plan. Ekaterina here spoke about a forum that could open the Year of the Family next year. We will do it with pleasure, and we wanted to open the Year of the Family with some big event, certainly with your participation, and we want to invite you. For our part, we will try to make it memorable both for the country and for the families who will take part in this forum, as this is valuable and very important in order to maintain and develop the traditional spiritual and moral values of Russia and pass them on from generation to generation.
Therefore, we will be happy to hold such a forum. And we invite the children from the "Movement of the First" and their families to submit their proposals, so that they can also see it.
Thank you.
Vladimir Putin: I fully agree, please accept it here.
Mr. Gurov: Mr President, then the members of the Supervisory Board should vote on who is in favour of adopting the Program.
Vladimir Putin: Everyone is in favour.
G. Gurov: We are also in favor. Who's against it? Abstained?
Thank you very much.
Vladimir Putin: Thank you.
G. Gurov: Mr President, Tatyana Alekseyevna [Golikova] just said about mentors – there are indeed mentors in the Movement that we are particularly proud of. Nikita Kudinov is in the audience today. This is our employee, a member of our large team, a participant in a special military operation.
Nikolai Kudinov: Hello, Mr President!
My name is Nikita S. Kudinov. I have spent my entire life developing the children's "Movement".
Before going to perform my civilian duty on the front line, in the zone of a special military operation, I worked in the team of the flagship project of the "Movement of the First ""Big Change".
Due to health reasons, I was unable to return to my comrades-in-arms, but I firmly decided that I would continue to do what I had been doing throughout my professional career. And here I am again in the team "Movement of the first".
I would like to say that when I was on the front line, I received tremendous support from the participants, from the guys. They sent humanitarian aid, condensed milk, canned food, dugout candles, sewed clothes, wove camouflage nets. But one of the most valuable things that was in all these boxes were messages from the guys. Probably, it is difficult to imagine a picture when such stern men, defenders of our Motherland, sitting somewhere in the dugout, near the stove, reread these letters. But, believe me, this was the case in reality. And I want to say a huge thank you to the guys for this support.
After returning, I became a mentor for the participants of the "Movement of the First". We meet with counselors and talk about mentoring traditions.
I travel to different regions, meet with guys, we talk about how to properly realize your potential, where to direct your ambitions, what tools to use in this process, and identify certain growth points. Naturally, we talk about universal values, including how important support is for our fighters today and how every word spoken from the heart of a child is really dear to them.
Vladimir Vladimirovich, my duty today, as always, is to be with Russia and share the experience that I have gained with the guys and that I am truly proud of. I served my country on the front line, I will serve wherever my homeland sends me, and today I serve Russia for the benefit of our future generation.
Vladimir Putin: You know, you risked your life and your health for the benefit of Russia, in its interests, protecting its people. This is a very responsible mission, unique in its nature. What you are doing now is of great importance for the future of the country. It is very good that people like you find yourself in this, because only by transmitting your real life experience from heart to heart – this is a serious life experience – can you achieve maximum results.
I want to wish you every success, and thank you very much.
N. Kudinov: Thank you.
Vladimir Putin: Thank you.
G. Gurov: Mr President, we have a lot of young people who are involved in projects that are being implemented [in the Movement]. We already said when we showed [the exhibition] that the most important thing for us in projects is the use of "Movement", getting the skills of "Movement". I think Varya Yegorova can tell you about her experience in participating in the new, updated "Zarnitsa".
V. Yegorova: Hello!
I'm Varvara Yegorova. I am a student of the 9th cadet class. That's where it all started for me. Thanks to him, I got into many youth organizations, such as " Yunarmiya "and, accordingly, "Movement of the first". In the "Movement of the first" I liked most of all to participate just in "Zarnitsa 2.0". This is a high-tech version of the well-known "Zarnitsa", which was played by both our grandmothers and our parents.
And I really liked both the training itself and the competitions themselves, because the training gave me a lot of useful skills, which later, unfortunately, I had to put into practice. Why unfortunately? Because I had to give help to my friend, medical help. It so happened that we went on a camping trip, and he was quite badly injured there – careless handling of a knife. We had nothing on hand: we had no tourniquets, no bandages, or anything that could be used to wrap the wound properly. But I didn't get lost at the expense of the acquired skills. I took off my bandana and tied it around his arm to stop the blood. If I didn't have these skills, we would have been at a loss, and the story could have ended badly.
I also want to tell you a story that is also related to medical training. I was walking through a shopping center and noticed that a man was lying on the floor, who clearly became ill, and a large number of people crowded around him. In this situation, I couldn't just pass by and ignore them. I knew how to help. I assessed the situation, I realized that everything was being done correctly, I went through the algorithm of necessary actions in my head, and only after that, having made sure that the person would be helped, I was able to go further.
I really want to highlight the fact that, it would seem, some game gives a lot of useful skills. I can also say that it not only gives you skills, but also some kind of aspiration in life. So, for example, I really enjoyed driving drones. And now I want to bring this idea to my camp, which I go to year after year.
I also want to say that Zarnitsa also instilled in me a dream in my life. I would very much like to open a young fighter course at my school, because it gives a person the very part of patriotism that we talked about earlier, as well as skills. It simply disciplines both the mind and body. So I think this is very important.
I would very much like "Zarnitsa" to be for all ages, for all cities, for all children, so that everyone can try themselves in this, because it can give both some kind of star in the future, and just help in learning. Therefore, I would very much like it not to be abandoned, but to continue to develop it over and over again.
Thank you very much.
Vladimir Putin: I wish you every success.
As for holding Zarnitsa in all our regions and cities, we have quite a few regional leaders of the Russian Federation in touch. Which of your colleagues would like to comment on this topic?
G. Gurov: Dmitry Artyukhov, one of the heads of regions.
Dmitry : Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, Dear colleagues!
Much has already been said about meaningful work.
Where would I like to start? Of course, we, the regions, now have a big responsibility to create the necessary infrastructure. In Yamal, we decided that each school should have its own Movement departments. Today, this decision has already been implemented, and the children have a second home. This is a very small investment. A slightly different appearance, attractiveness – and, accordingly, there the primary department gets a place to unfold its active activities.
From the experience that comes to children, as they say, most of all-of course, this is travel. Much has also been said about this today, including search "Movements" and trips around our country in general. This, of course, finds the greatest response.
Vladimir Vladimirovich, we recently sent our guys-participants of the Movement - to the exhibition at VDNH. They were also joined by children from Volnovakha, which has already become our native territory, our sponsored territory. And of course, the guys got the warmest reviews, got acquainted with the exhibition and the capital as a whole. This is what gives a really very good result.
For activists, they also held a separate shift this year in Anapa. Of course, when children find themselves by their interests, find new friends, it gives a very good result.
Therefore, I am sure that methodological work, which is already protected as a program of educational work, will only gain momentum. We are at the beginning of the road, only a little over a year, as the" Movement " is developing. Now the task of all regions and heads of municipalities is to make the bases appear as large and wider as possible. And all the destinations – such as Zarnitsa and trips-are of course very good deeds, which, as we can see, find a very great response among children.
Vladimir Putin: We are still in touch with Mikhail Vladimirovich Razvozhaev, Sevastopol.
Mikhail Razvozhaev : Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, good afternoon! Dear colleagues!
We have already opened 82 primary movements, with more than 10 thousand participants. The "movement" is very actively developing. Sevastopol is certainly proud that Diana Krasovskaya, who suggested that you, Vladimir Vladimirovich, create a "Movement" on behalf of the youth, lives and studies in Sevastopol, and actively continues to develop the "Movement". One of our brightest stars that constantly generates new projects.
Of course, all the projects that were discussed or touched upon today are being implemented. Perhaps the most important thing that our colleagues said was that it is still important that the "Movement" is not strictly hierarchical and structured. In other words, there are a lot of projects that the guys do themselves and constantly develop them, bringing some things that are inherent in different subjects, different territories, and exchange experience. This, of course, gives additional energy for the development of the Movement.
And the second important point, which was also discussed during the discussion, is, of course, the correct selection of mentors. Thank God, now there is a great interest among various leaders, let's say, young people, including now there was a speech by a participant in a special military operation. The guys are very happy to come to the "Movement" to share their experience. Here, of course, interesting and different mentors are important, who can pass on different experiences to the children.
In my region, as chairman of the Supervisory Board, I pay a lot of attention to ensuring that people who are very correct come to the "Movement" and can give their unique experience to the guys and thereby motivate them to new achievements.
And of course, we will do our best to ensure that as many participants of the Movement as possible come from Sevastopol to the exhibition "Russia", because this is a unique event. Those who have already been among the guys come back with absolutely burning eyes and a desire to continue working.
Thank you, Vladimir Vladimirovich.
Vladimir Putin: Thank you very much.
Dmitry Nikolaevich, the issue of tourism, family tourism, and youth tourism has already been raised several times.
You are welcome. How can we help you in this area?
: Thank you very much, dear Vladimir Vladimirovich!
First of all, of course, you have already voted, and we support this program of educational work of the "Movement of the First". It is very important to pay attention to the practical benefits of each project. It is very important that children from the very childhood develop an interest in natural specialties as well.
Just last week, you were in Sirius ,where the annual Congress of Young Scientists was held. There was a wonderful stand where the guys from the "Movement of the First" showed their specific developments.
I wanted to mention it because it had some unique items. Maybe someone else will tell you about them, Elena Vladimirovna.
As for tourism, of course, in addition to the fact that the project "More than travel", which is part of the National Project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry", "Russia – a country of opportunities", it is obvious that it needs to be expanded, we will definitely work on this issue in the Government, we will report to you.
Vladimir Putin: Thank you.
Grigory Gurov: Mr President, we are really talking a lot about family today. We have an incredibly energetic family that helps develop the Movement in new regions: the Saulyak family: Vadim, Larisa and their daughter Milana.
Ask you.
Vladimir Saulyak: Hello!
We are the Saulyak family-Larisa, Milana, Vadim. We are from the Luhansk People's Republic, the city of Alchevsk.
It so happened that in the last two years our children studied remotely. And as soon as our daughter entered the usual form of education, she got acquainted with the "Movement of the First". So it turned out symbolically – the "Movement of the first" was the first to enter our family. And when we get home from school, we already have more topics to talk about, not just about school life. I began to learn from her about the "Movement", about her affairs. And when I talk to her – I also hear here from Ekaterina and other participants-I remember my pioneer movement, when I was a child, I was a pioneer, I visited the station of young technicians, I visited various circles. And talking to them, it's all so pleasant and in my memories.
L. Saulyak: I'll add it. When Milasha comes home from school, I ask: "How are you doing?" Because the child needs to hear, he has something to tell. Parents, of course, need to listen. Mila and I do projects, she is with us, asks us for some advice, dad gives his advice.
We have another tradition in our family – we go to drink tea. When my kids need to talk to us, they say, " Mom, put the kettle on." I have an adult daughter, and an adult daughter has her own daughter. And when our granddaughter comes home, she says, " Grandma, put the kettle on, we need to talk." Even my son-in-law has become accustomed to this tradition.
What do I want to say? That the "Movement of the First" preserves these traditions. Family values are very wonderful. A strong family is like a tough nut to crack. And in my family, and I think that all my parents will support me, this is the most important thing.
Of course, I also want to add that to all the parents I meet and know – at school, neighbors-I say: give your children the opportunity to see this scale of Russia, let your child go and see all this. Let them register or register together.
A home child is our child. When he's gone, he'll watch it all. When our Milasha went to the Moscow State Institute of Culture, we listened to her for two weeks.
V. Saulyak: Let our daughter herself tell about her movement with the "first ones".
Vladimir Putin: Come on, come on.
Mikhail Saulyak: Hello! My name is Milana.
Speaking about the possibilities, I can say from my own personal example that thanks to the "Movement of the First" I was able to travel by train for the first time, for me it was a very interesting, unforgettable experience; I visited different cities of our big country.
What I would like to mention separately: a great opportunity for me was just to visit the university shift at the Moscow State Institute of Culture, where we had career guidance, I was able and all the guys were able to get acquainted with different professions.
It was thanks to this shift that I decided and I know that I want to become a designer. I'm even thinking about enrolling in the Moscow State Institute of Culture.
We had a very interesting program and talked to interesting people. We had a meeting with Dolina, Maydanov, Gazmanov. It was a very interesting and exciting program, I really had a lot of emotions, a storm of emotions, I would even say. I was able to meet different guys from different parts of our big country and still communicate with them.
What would I like to say? This means that university shifts need to continue. This is not only my opinion, but also the opinion of all the guys. Since this program helped the children not only decide on their profession, but also talk to various interesting people, learn a lot of new things and find some common topics for further development…
Vladimir Putin: Communication.
M. Saulyak: Topics for communication and a lot of new acquaintances. That's why I and the guys, all of us, insist that university shifts continue, and not only as they were originally, for children from the Luhansk People's Republic, Donetsk People's Republic, Kherson and Zaporozhye, but for children from all over our big country.
Thank you.
Vladimir Putin: Milana, what you just said is an assessment of what we are doing, and the assessment is positive. I'm sure all my colleagues are inspired by this. This is exactly what Tatyana Golikova, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government, said. And I said that I would like to listen to the guys themselves, how they feel about what is happening, how this "Movement of the First" is developing. Thank you very much for these ratings. We will continue to do so.
G. Gurov: Mr President, there are a lot of young people. Today we have our little starlet with us, who believes in good and believes that good always comes back. This is Karina Lomakina.
K. Lomakina: Hello, Vladimir Vladimirovich!
My name is Karina Lomakina, I am 16 years old. I'm from the Vladimir region. At some point in my life, I realized that my main motivation is the sparkle in people's eyes, their sincere smile. Then I realized that my direction is volunteering.
It all started with volunteering in sports, and now I am developing the primary department with my guys. We are developing volunteering there. We go to shelters to see the dogs, comb them out, and then this wool is recycled for making socks and belts for the children of the special military operation.
Also this summer I was lucky enough to visit the "Territory of Meanings". This is a great forum where the campaign "Thank you" was launched in honor of the "Year of the Teacher and Mentor". It is aimed at thanking our teachers, teachers, and mentors for their hard work.
Later, I brought this action to my school, you can't imagine how the eyes of teachers burned when we gave them pelicans-the symbol of the "Year of the Teacher and Mentor". It's just an indescribable emotion when you give a symbol and such good is returned to you.
"Territory of Meanings" and "Movement of the First" gave me great guys-initiators, about whom I do not hesitate to say that they are my family, with whom we implement a lot of projects, including my project – podcast "On equal terms about important things". It is aimed at prompting and telling people. I invite children with disabilities to visit me, and they tell me how to interact with them, how to help them, and what topics might not be worth touching on. And it is being implemented with the support of Klassny Radio. A lot of projects are being implemented with the support of Klassny Radio. And I would very much like to scale my own project and other projects of Klassny Radio, perhaps to all educational institutions where this is possible.
Thank you.
Vladimir Putin: Thank you very much. Good luck to you.
How does the Znanie Society, Maxim Alekseevich, cooperate with the Movement of the First?
Mikhail Dreval: Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, colleagues, good afternoon!
This is a mutually beneficial cooperation; we do a lot of projects together. The Znanie Society is about mentors, about people who inspire children by their example and show that everything is possible. As I told you, these are very different lecturers: scientists, cosmonauts, teachers, engineers, statesmen, artists and cultural figures, these are the heroes of the SVO. And all of them not only pass on knowledge, but also are mentors. Together we do projects not only in such a classic transfer of knowledge, but also support, for example, young documentarians, young authors, and make game formats of education.
But what is important, and in the other direction, the Society "Knowledge" gets a lot. For example, while doing projects together, we realized how many talented lecturers and educators there are among young children. Some of them talked to you today. And there are already a lot of them. They can often compete strongly with adults. In principle, we have seen that young people are often a very important example of mentoring for their peers. Because when they see adults and realize that they were able to, it's one story. And when they see the guys and are infected by their example, they definitely understand that they can also, they are inspired, energized, and therefore we grow such mentors among them.
In principle, all the projects of the Znanie Society used to be for older young people, but together with the Movement of the First, we are moving to a younger and younger age, and now we are even thinking about going further, to primary school. Maybe, as Sergey Sergeyevich said, even before her. It seems to me that the Znanie Society should also work with families, making projects together for joint education, development, and excursions.
We also do a lot of excursions around the country. Immediately for young children and for their parents. So the "Movement of the First" also inspires us to start new projects.
Vladimir Putin: Thank you.
We'll probably finish it.
We have a draft decision of the Supervisory Board. If you have any comments, please submit them. I appeal to the entire audience: both those colleagues who work online with us, and those present here in the hall. No? Then we make this decision.
G. Gurov: Mr President, Maxim Alekseyevich told us about the lecturers. Indeed, we have a megaphone of Rostov youth at the table. He makes joint projects. I can't help but give him my word, this is Viktor Golovyatenko.
Vladimir Putin: Please.
Vladimir Golovyatenko: Good afternoon, Mr President.
My name is Viktor Golovyatenko, and Grigory Alexandrovich has already introduced me.
I came from the Rostov region, a rather small town of Shakhty, where I am the chairman of the local council of the "Firsts". It is truly joyful and exciting to realize that together we are doing such great things for our Motherland here.
In my speech, I would like to say about each "first". I write poetry and would like to read you my own author's poem, if you'll excuse me.
Every scientist is here, every poet is here.
Here, every writer is in his youth.
We should take a closer look at each of them!
But what prompted you to start this journey?
The desire to be the first in important matters
And to lift our country on our shoulders.
Forward we strive, looking at the sky,
And each of us is an astronaut and a pilot.
So we will continue to go to victory!
After all, the first step was taken, he is already on the way!
Thank you very much.
Vladimir Putin: Such a beautiful conclusion to our meeting today.
I want to wish you creative success. They will definitely be there, we can see that.
I would like to thank everyone not only for getting together and working today, but also for what has been done so far. I am sure that we will all do even more together.
Of course, I very much count on our young participants of today's meeting, on those for whom this "Movement of the First" has been created. For our part, we adults will try our best. Well, the palm tree in achieving each result, of course, is yours.
I wish you all the best. Thank you very much. Good luck.
Putin and Russia have initiated numerous educational initiatives since Putin became Russia’s President. Some, like Znanie (Knowledge Society) were resurrected and given new life. The recollection of the Soviet Pioneer program is clearly a driving force. But the key to all these efforts is their ability to last, to maintain their freshness, to not become bureaucratized, and to eventually propel themselves using their own momentum acquired over the years. As noted in the intro, for all this to really become the success it’s capable of becoming, Russia needs more teachers as allowing students to take ownership of their own education is only one facet of what has the potential to become a very successful educational process that will serve Russia and Russians well.

How amazing for them. It’s great to see substance. So different from what we have.
Amazing, a nation thinking about its future and the future of its people.
They are skipping all the 'woke' stuff. How normal, at least for WW II geriatrics of my generation.
