Putin went to Tatarstan to accomplish several things. One was to preside over the opening ceremony of the Games of Future International Tournament where 104 nations sent players, a second was to visit the S.P. Gorbunov Kazan Aviation Plant where he inspected new Tu-160M aircraft. The next day Putin found time to participate in a training flight.
Putin also was able to meet with many regional leaders who were in Kazan for the opening of the Games. There was also the Ceremony to open medical facilities and the start of construction of the Center for Scientific Research and Technology Scaling in Kazan. After his plane ride, Putin met with the heads of logistics automobile companies and truck drivers in Kazan for another interesting discussion related to their occupational industry. Putin then traveled to Tsivilsk to meet with the President of the Chuvash Republic and discuss its socio-economic development. But before that meeting, Putin visited the village of Ryndino and inspected the work of the renovated paramedic and obstetric station. Modernization of the FAP made it possible to improve the quality of primary health care for residents of Ryndino and Novaya Derevnya with a population of more than 740 people. In Tsivilsk, Putin visited the Cultural Development Center, which is where the top photo with the very interesting map is displayed. Then Putin experienced one of his two greetings by the locals.
That’s fourteen events over two days, yes some being brief like his sideline meetings with heads-of-state, while some are both exhilarating and energy sapping at the same time, intermixed with governance Putin-style.
Most readers will be aware of the incredible levels of discrimination Russian athletes have suffered which in its way is a Nazi-like manifestation. Realizing that treatment isn’t going to abate anytime soon along with the total discrediting of the Interntional Olympic Committee and other sports organizations, Russia along with other like-minded nations have begun to hold alternative sporting events. The Games of the Future being held in Kazan is the first of several planned by Russia. Here’s the Kremlin’s description:

Putin’s become quite the Showman. Lots of energy in he arena as the photos show as does the 9.5 minute video, which ends with the speeches given by the visiting heads-of-state. There’re other choices to fill the above space, but this seemed to be the most uplifting while also being educational—more of how Russians see themselves was revealed along with how they honor sport. Future games and future planes – Putin never ceases
The nature of sanctions inspired autonomy is made visible at every level – how typical that the nature of international sporting competitions should have been re invented along more intelligent lines
The Olympic Games was the product of a nostalgic throwback, even at the time, I mean the Greek formula rapidly degenerated, and the late 19C revival was worse
As you remark in your article on the ASI Forum, this Olympic Games upgrade, and the frequent talk show forums’ are an element of President Putin’s new style of governance, involving the masses as well as all levels of regional municipal bureaucracies and businesses
And the use of VEB for financing projects
Thanks for the 'Future Games' link, it's available unlike the Ru stuff here in Freedonia (UK).
