I won't echo here the sentiments of others of Putins supposed love affair with Israel nor his supposed naivety towards turkeys Erdogan over the years. Back then as I do today have always viewed Russian foreign policy on East Asia was to combat terrorism from spreading to Russian borders. Putin has stated numerous times his priorities are first and foremost the interest of Russia and the Russian people. Everyone wants Russia to be the world's policemen but as Syria now shows that is not the case.

I could go on and on regarding my views on this but alas I'm not a writer or pod caster claiming to be an expert but a mere observer.
