I made the following comment upon having seen the above image at Pepe Escobar’s VK page. Yes, I know it’s Christmas Eve here where I am and our thoughts are supposed to be centered on other more happy imagery based on the tales we were told as children. Unfortunately, those days have long passed along with the images and our world is subjected to forces most of humanity wants eliminated:
Brian, et al: The Zionist's ancestors tried to kill an idea but failed as that idea lives today as people continue to strive for it against all odds. The idea of Christmas is far older than Jesus, so the idea is what must be celebrated while also recalling what mission Jesus gave himself--To reinstitute the Jubilee and free the masses from debt bondage, the goal for which he was killed. But again, ideas cannot be killed, and today the masses are again straining to be freed from debt bondage as they invoke yet another idea--that all humans are just that, humans, and each has an equal right to enjoy its one and only priceless life. And in pursuit of their ideas, humanity is gathering together as it has never before to struggle and attain their goals.
As Dr. Hudson informs us, the Jubilee’s aim was to reintroduce balance and harmony into societies that had become polarized between those with wealth and power and those without either but who constituted the vast majority. And so it is with today’s world as those holding the most wealth and power seek to extend that hold and further polarize societies. But humanity has had enough and has begun a movement to alter the paradigm and essentially enforce a Jubilee onto those few holding the wealth, which is in the form of the mass’s debts. The outrage of Genocide occurring in Palestine has further steeled humanity against those who created the situation and intend to somehow profit from it. We must face the fact that Jesus would be with Hamas, with Ansarallah, with Hezbollah, with the Syrians, with the Iraqis, with the Iranians, with all those victimized by Colonialism and the Imperialist/Capitalist system. And he most certainly would have vehemently opposed the Spanish Popes who in the 15th Century issued a series of Bulls stating only certain Christians were to be considered human. Indeed, Jesus would have opposed the very institution erected in his name that turned his mission upside down and inside-out.
So, on Christmas Day, let’s remember all those who have nothing but their lives, and those who will lose them to people who think they’re somehow exceptional and more worthy than all others.
Merry Christmas to my righteous friend, Karl. I sleep better knowing you're keeping tabs on the world. You deserve and shall have a great 2024, despite the objective situation.
In my home this also represents Solstice. A time to let the darkness of the sky give us time to reflect on the goings on of the last year. Certainly time to hope for peace to overcome greed. And time to think about those many people that have no food or safety. Thanks for your uplifting thoughts, Karl.
Merry Christmas 🤶 🎄
