China as in Russia has its share of western educated and influenced specialists; it's good that they're outing their questionable competence. As for western elites coming to their senses, it's highly unlikely unless they're on the receiving end of kinetic educational opportunities.

"plutocratic neoliberal casinos" - the best description I've seen of the west yet!

Maybe while they're at it they can deNazify Canada too?

The Ukraine being described as a drowning man that pulls down its rescuers sounds a lot like what I think will happen.

Polish President Duda last September as RT reported:

'He went on to explain that “a drowning person… is dangerous and can drown the rescuer.” “They say a drowning man is grasping at straws. This is a bit like the situation between Poland and Ukraine now,” he said, adding that Warsaw must take measures to protect its interests and not be dragged down with Kiev.'https://www.rt.com/news/583279-duda-ukraine-drowning-person/?ysclid=lt0uq0lgvj810490886

Yes, and here in the Waste 'they' (FIRE sector) have managed to take control of the 'House' so that their losses are always covered! No haircuts for the gamblers, which is why 'they' always double-down (known as martingale system in roulette), which is only feasible as a winning system if there are no table maximums. A Fiat economy underpinned by reserve currency status by virtue of the petrodollar breeds mindless money heads who know the price of everything but the value of nothing etc....

Beat me to it! Pepe’s description made me LOL - still does each time I read it! He is a journalist of legendary dimension - a beacon of inspiration for the Multi Polar future that is manifesting in the here and now. Obrigado, Pepe!

De Nazify Canada? A tall order when Christia Freeland is next in line to succeed P. Trudeau. Best wishes for a nation-wide consciousness raising! The USofA has its own flavor with KKK and other neo-fascist haters with excessive weaponry to contend with. Maybe the global South can set an example for us to emulate. We’re not about to listen to China or Russia.

Yes.. the numerous creative terms for tragic trajectory of the hegemon (godzilla corruption) will help us calm our spirits, but wont help an inch to the hegemons destiny.

This is a shift after, aprox. 500 years, of one sided ideology, wich is running out of oxigen.

For example, look at empire of the seas (aka - UK) decline in vision, creativity, and ability to even move. The old beast drowning in a quick sand, making moves, only to accelerate the same.

Inevitable, but a process.

It seems to me the neocon idea that Russia is stalemated shows a serious lack of critical thinking, they believe their own propaganda.

This is okay for the war profiteers, not for the US’ other 95%!

I also respect Russia’s operational sense to maintain the front and not push bulges that could become cauldrons. In this sense I see them emulating Eisenhower in France and eastward.

Russia is likely waiting for more U.S. gifts to blow up and attrit Kiev’s resources.

The bit about the Remus 600, a torpedo-shaped underwater drone, being captured was the only interesting thing in Pepe's two articles that I didn't already know.

It's not great that tech will end up on the black market. Especially once they're outfitted with AI. I read a sci-fi story years ago about the results of a global war where AI naval drones ended up basically sinking everything and some guy had to go out from an Antarctic base crammed into another drone to kill one of those things. If that sort of thing happens, you can kiss the global economy goodby - unless nations can get by based on land trade routes within their own regions. One wonders what happens to the island nations like Malaysia and Indonesia.

The Chinese "experts" apparently aren't any more well versed in modern war than the West if they think this Ukraine thing will go beyond 2024. That's not surprising; as Martyanov says, only Russia (and to a lesser extent, the Germans - in the past, anyway) actually understand war. The current Chinese military doesn't have any experience of the sort of conflict in Ukraine to make any capable judgement.

Hm...

These are one of the oldest civilisations on earth, way back for 5000 years...

Yes, they are living fosils not in their creational peak, lately, but we can learn from their 5000 year civilisation, A LOT.
