I hadn't read M. K. Bhadrakumar's most recent blog entry prior to publishing this editorial, but it's rather important and deserves scrutiny and further distribution. This excerpt is very powerful:

"The Arab foreign ministers point blank refused to buy into any of the invidious proposals put forward by Blinken with malicious intentions to preserve Jewish interests — “humanitarian pause” instead of ceasefire; refugee camps for the people from Gaza escaping from Israel’s horrific, brutal attacks that would be funded with Arab money but would eventually lead to Jewish settlements in Gaza; contours of a post-war arrangement for Gaza that will leave the debris to be handled by the Palestinian Authority and reconstruction to be financed by the Gulf states while Israel continues to dominate it in the all-important security sphere; preventing Iran from going to the rescue of Hezbollah and Hamas as they are put into Israeli meat grinders of American make.

"It was rank hypocrisy. The Arab foreign ministers spoke up in one voice to articulate their counter proposal to Blinken’s — immediate ceasefire. President Biden seems to see the writing on the wall, finally — although, intrinsically, he continues to be the world’s number one Zionist, as someone once called him, and his motivations are largely borne out of his own political survival as the 2024 election draws closer." https://www.indianpunchline.com/arab-iran-amity-is-a-geopolitical-reality/

The leaders of the USA and G7 nations have lost their humanity. And every one of them who didn't vote for a ceasefire should be kicked out of office. I haven't believed the humanitarianism preached by this group for a long time, but this is a new low. Israel's bombing of Gaza must stop NOW.

You are right, Stephen.

But he is sensitive to every shift and current in US opinion. He is reliant, and Israeli has long been reliant, on 'my country right or wrong' knee-jerk support from the well organised Zionist lobbies in all the NATO countries. The support that they mobilise, by various means is a mile wide and except in a few corners less than an inch deep. It depends upon its ability to control the media which sees zionism as an essential prop of imperialism and therefore defends it.

The problem they all face is that of hubris- they have learned to treat the public, million man marches and the alternative media with such contempt that they have lost contact with reality. All the hard work, for eample, that they put into destroying Corbyn and his massive popular base is beginning to be wasted- with each passing day Corbynism, leftish reform socialism plus ethical foreign policies, gets closer to a triumphant return.

And something similar is likely to be happening in Germany, for example with Sarah and elsewhere.

At a time of declining living standards and growing insecurity there is a market in the public, particularly among young people, for simple straightforward issues.

And genocide is the original of those.

The hour has come- the man or woman is coming. But the way to the front is cluttered with losers, has beens, cheap demagogues and every hue and tone of Tory.

Yes, in the springtime there will be graduations, weddings, May Day parties and the culmination of it all, 4th of July fireworks for the children of the pro-Zionist puppets otherwise known as the US government. They will wear pretty clothes and have two arms and two legs. How can any parent sit back and allow the slaughter of children in Gaza to continue???

It's easy if they're ignorant and uninformed as too many are within the Empire. I saw such examples last night.

Yes, the Paradigm Change we're experiencing as with those before will be marked by conflict. The big change is the change in the ineffectiveness of the Outlaw US Empire to project power using its traditional tools as they've suffered deterrence via the new waves of stand-off weapons and other technologies. The big failure if not flop occurred a few years ago with Venezuela, which is THE prize for future hydrocarbon sourcing. Big Oil still has money and domestic political clout, but the military power it's relied upon for over 100 years no longer exists in any meaningful way.

The regional wild cards imo are still Saudi and Turkey and Gulf States are profit motivated. US green initiatives of curbing domestic oil prices with ME oil is one motivating factor. I have read certain oil executives and forecasting expecting higher domestic oil pricing to possibly > $120 from current $80 barrel for next two to three years due to possible widening regional ME conflict. Biden has recently approved allowing temporary increased domestic drilling and expedited permitting to off set expected higer domestic pricing.

When they finally get serious about providing the infrastructure required for the Barents Sea off the Alaskan North Slope for oil and gas extraction, then I'll know they've finally realized that must be done as no more alternatives exist. The topic of Energy is one that will get further exploration here as I've commented to other readers on other comment threads. There's actually quite a lot of hydrocarbons remaining to be extracted, but they're not under the control of the Outlaw US Empire.
