I didn't read this third part. I skipped to the end to see your comments.

Then I read the first comment which mentioned Vlad Paper.

I searched the post and found his interchange with Putin. I read the next question on people getting cheated on money to buy a house and I read the part on the Middle East, Israel and Turkey and Syria.

I don't recall ever hearing such articulate, and comprehensive dialogue of a politician with a citizen.

Like the other amazing things going on in Russia that I read about in this blog, the rhetorical ability of Putin is amazing. And his knowledge as well.

Forgot an essential aspect, namely, excellent intuitions.

I fell into the trap that has blinded the USA, namely focus too much on Putin.

Putin can make credible statements because he has a framework of effective institutions that are effective and adaptable.

We can give Putin credit for all the good work he does, but it takes the entire country engaged in a common effort.

Yes, all that and much more as you’ll read in the report I just posted.

A simple but great thing he said to Vlad Paper the blogger, in regard to what to convey to young Russians. Surprising humility not seen much in the west.

Parenthood often changes one’s POV and hastens maturity. The only way for Paper to have that many followers in Russia is because he’s honest and objective as Russians loathe liars and charlatans.

Oh how important is housing yet in the West it is an investment, escrow accounts amazing. In Oz (the world's highest priced housing) the present generation is locked out of owning their own home and unlike stateside where mortgages are fixed for the life of the mortgage they are varaible. Also Putin is omni aware and responds with precise knowledge of the particular.

We have adjustable/variable rate mortgages here in the Empire. Nowadays, they aren’t very attractive. Team Putin has done a lot regarding housing in Russia. But more still must be done.

Thanks Karl for the info re mortgages, economic articles usually report them as fixed to a rate at which they commenced and that was why during the ninja period so many people took them on and which helped create the Fanny Mae debacle and the collaterised debt structures sold on to local government bodies which saw them take the hit not the underwriters but it did take out Lehman's.

There were Trillions in illegal naked short sales that killed many REITS and the honest people who invested in them. I was in the midst of that and what went down made it clear BushCo was in on the scam as much as the Ds proved when Obama broke the law and didn’t prosecute anyone. IMO, land and how it’s used must be rethought so it serves as a utility and not as a speculative vehicle.

"S.Rosenberg: BBC News." nuff said. His seeming self-assured arrogance must be somewhat punctured by knowing a) the comments preceeding his non-question, and b) already knowing from RT that he's as irrelevant and unlikable as the UK state.

It seems I can 'Like' again, which is a timely gift.

Best wishes Karl and the rest of the Gym.

Hopefully the increasing light that flows from the recent solstice spreads to the hearts and minds of the war-mongers among us.

Thank you Karl! This was the news in my country yesterday:

Few Russians can still buy a house: mortgage interest rate of 36 percent

Well, we know that’s a very BigLie based on what was said during the Direct Line and what was said in the report I just filed—the 6% mortgage for new families remains in place and will for many more years. What’s being denied is the European nations own very steep demographic declines. I know you’ll read the next report and understand its message.
