thanks karl... this paragraph in the middle is especially pertinent..
"Ukraine, with the help of Westerners in the Bureau of the Human Rights Council, literally "pushed through" an unprecedented postponement of "its" UPR for four years - from the current 2023 to 2027, referring to the fact that martial law is now in force in Ukraine, and the Kiev authorities "have no time for discussions on human rights."
i see how ukraines western partners would have happily signed onto that... the continued use of ukraine to take down russia, anyway - anyhow - has become all too predictable.. they don't give a rats ass about human rights, or about the welfare of ukraine.. that has been obvious right from the start.. how long before ukrainians wake up to it? i don't expect most westerners to wake up to it any time soon.. none of this information will be widely broadcast in the western msm.. its the first i have heard of it! your posts are invaluable...
That section leapt out for me as well; and like Karl the question, 'What was their reasoning for not doing a UPR after 2014? also came to mind. One is almost forced to assume some level of collusion with the department that monitored the cease-fires while Russia pursued a diplomatic solution and the so-called Human Rights Council.
as karl and others have implied, many of these so called ''international'' organizations are at the beckon call of the usa to serve their own purposes... that is unfortunate, but true..
Just a thought following the Convid article (9/1/24) that had occurred to me after your reply but I didn't pursue it.
It might be my imagination but I thought I sensed, reading between the lines so to speak, that the Russian Federation might withdraw from the WHO, which I certainly assume to have been 'privatised' WRT it's role in Convid and current plans to assume world wide pandemic Furhurship in the very near future. The timetable for appropriate legislation here in UK is May as far as I know.
Russia commented about the WHO's privatization in 2021 as it continued to refuse to license Sputnik V while providing no reasonable explanation. Russia's diplomacy is focused on educating RoW nations on the privatization point so control over many UN agencies can be wrested away from the West; it's not just the WHO.

Thanks james. I'm surprised they didn't try to make it retroactive to 2014.

that is a very good insight lantern dude! it would be even better if russia was to confirm your suspicions by saying something publicly on this..
perhaps at an appropriate time. Slowly slowly seems to be a very efficacious methodology currently ;-)
