Thank you, Karl.....just an irrelevant note, really: I have always had a problem with “human race”. It seems to be more biological description of humans as part of the animal kingdom, so to speak....and not spiritual.
Human are definitely animals. I think the whole profit model of the military, animal ag, industrial, media complex is based on promoting exceptionalism and on suppressing the knowledge that we are no in way separate from each other, other animals nor anything else.
That basic idea was promoted by the Bible in Gensis, that humans were somehow separate and distinct from animals as humans were supposedly made "in God's image" and were endowed with language and reason, while animals have neither. Compare with Eastern Thought and other creation myths that try to provide answers to questions that couldn't be answered at the time, which is why myths are created.
Saving humanity by creating 5 billion BS jobs so everyone can consume on par with lower middle class Americans and opening a couple hundred million walymarts around the global south, building thousands of new coal fired power plants, selling a couple billion AC units, putting several billion cars on the road, pouring 10 times the amount of cement ever poured in all history, strip mining every square inch of the planet then the moon, and on and on....
What could possibly go wrong? What could possibly go right?
Oh, so you don't think the rest of the world gets to have all those things?
I don't think anyone should have those things if it ends in the destruction of the one thing that is sacred above all else....the living planet... the most wonderous planet in the universe and beyond.
What an inspiring vision!
Thanks Karl, exciting times.
What a great helmsman and compassionate speaker.
I grok this human much more than the dalai lama ;)
Yes, there's something sorta spiritual about Xi. Mao II?
One of the benefits of his experience of the Cultural Revolution, me thinks.

Humanity is the term I prefer as it seems more powerful than People.
