"...The Maritime Empire whose navy is rapidly deteriorating needs others with navies to bolster it so it can continue to generate chaos in its attempt to remain relevant..."

The real fear in imperial circles is that Eurasian unity will lead to the marginalisation of maritime power, land routes, high speed rail for example, pipelines and air freight carrying a moch greater share of trade.

It is unlikely that most of the ASEAN countries will be unaware of the alternative offered by the imperialists: NATO and the asian supporters of it are simply new names for the old empires which most of these countries have thrown off.

Most but not all: apart from the lilywhite settler states who are in the region on sufferance, Japan, the Phillipines and south Korea are the remnants of the Japanese Empire gathered together by Washington which ultimately rules them. They are not sovereign states- south Korea is the current iteration of the colony established when Japan annexed the entire peninsula in 1910 while The Philippines remains the colony that Jim Crow and Uncle Sam built, one of the most unequal societies on earth. It is very kind and neighbourly of the ASEAN peoples to allow such parodies to mingle with them but their views are never going to be mistaken for anything more than echoes of their Masters' Voice.

South East Asia, Vietnam included, seems to be taking on an alternative to the Chinese economy, with or without their blessing. Adding Indonesia to that mix adds more diversity and complexity and Uncle Sam is not a favorite.

Time will tell.

It is always reassuring to read Lavrov's gravitas. Thank you!

Glad to see Lavrov blowing off the bullshit "Iran nuclear test" - if he even heard of it, because apparently no one outside the West (and most in the West except for the "alt-media") ever heard of it.

The number of so-called "analysts" who fell for an obvious propaganda ploy was incredible. George Galloway went so far as to declare Iran a "nuclear power". Most of the morons at MoA fell for it, too.

Let's start from first principles re: AU. Neither are genuinely sovereign states and it's quite straight forward. The oath of office in Parliament is to the Crown, it is not to the Australian people as sovereign but to an absent landlord. The loyalty has been transferred to the US as a result of treaties and instruments allowing the US complete access; how many US "bases" exist is a matter for speculation, but Pine Gap is a black hole of zero accountability. Australian FMs have for my rather long memory have progressively become nothing more than repeater stations for US policy.

Here's a link to the David McBride case that produced legal clarification, https://youtu.be/5Rq755bAO4g?si=VQSTR5UlSCy6gkIC&t=204

Yes, I'm aware of the vassal status, but I also know people will not follow their government. I haven't focused on Australia much mainly because it's lucky--its placement on the planet provides for some insulation. But geoeconomically, making a living by trading with Asia is a no brainer.

Yes, since the sixties the iron ore deposits in WA and coal in NSW and Qld fueled Japan's phenomenal growth, hence lucky country. China has provided the next phase of massive trade and Rudd/Gillard moved to an agreement with China for mutual trade in AUD/RMB. The coup against Whitlam showed that Australians don't have the stomach to directly confront the imperial power, so I suspect it's going to be an interesting run once the US collapses under its own weight and starts paring back its imperial possessions and basing.

As many now see and say, the Outlaw US Empire has nothing to offer other nations aside from the promise to not attack them provided they do what the Empire says. IMO, Australia can tread water by saying maybe is response to the Empire's proposals as the Asians aren't going to give-in as proven by the latest ASEAN Summits.

If Trump makes it in, someone should get him up to speed on Russia.

Tulsi Gabbard comes to mind, but that inner circle is so far removed from me that I do not have a clue.

It is worth serious effort since every country could benefit from better appreciation and improved understanding.

I might be way off, but it appears that Kamhoe and Tampon Tim are self destructing nicely, not counting who stuffs the ballot boxes.

Trump family members, maybe? Confab with approachable credible Russians?

Then problem exists within all the doctrine BS; it all needs to be thrown out along with the nuts who developed it all. Perhaps several thousand swamp critters. I'd advise Trump to end all sanctions that the executive can end. Cease support for NATO, Ukraine and the Zionists. Return all stolen Russian property. Admit guilt for Nordstream and order Germany to reopen the one remining line. Eviscerate the MIC budget so the money can be spent modernizing US infrastructure. However, I have very little hope of any of my very pragmatic suggestions will be heard let alone implemented.

It's great to see the World's premier diplomat saying it exactly as it is. Sadly the US is only known nowadays for exporting death & destruction. Jumping from 1 conflict head first into the next conflict. Of all the death & destruction they've caused, of all the conflicts they've been behind. Over the lady 7 decades. What are the results? A very small minority of US people have became wealthy beyond their wildest dreams. American civilians haven't benefitted, the country of America hasn't benefitted, their victims have been decimated . Families & societies totally destroyed. War crime after war crime committed. What happens to the brain washed American military men after they've taken part in these atrocities? Most are destroyed with guilt, mental health problems & a total lack of any support from the cowards that sent them on their missions. But there's that small amount of mega rich vampires who profit from these actions. Maybe those could help the broken military men. Not a chance of that. Their millions & billions are staying firmly with them. Land of the free my ass.
