Thanks for this post.

It amazes me that more people aren't openly rebelling against the west as it commits genocide, and lies so visibly. It's losing so much support from within their countries and, I believe, internationally as well.

The behaviour of the USA and NATO is preposterous.

Here is a pleasant surprise lit review by John Helmer. Russia has a long history and experience dealing the FUKUSA and friends:

https://johnhelmer.net/a-nasty-little-book-about-the-allied-invasion-of-russia-in-1918-is-a-nasty-big-lesson-for-now/#more-89787

The first thing that came to mind was "Russians are mighty patient people and, given their history and passion for it, I am astounded at how much insult it took to get them going in 2022". IMO any suggestion that this is going to end in some abortive peace deal and division of Ukraine along some tidy little DMZ any time soon is pure Western fantasy. Westies sure didn't learn from history and now Russia has to repeat the lesson it delivered to them a century ago.

Thanks for the FYI. Lavrov said they need to be taught the 200+ year old lesson which they've forgotten. The West had its chance in 2022 and opted for the total defeat of Russia, and Putin vowed to end US hegemony and has done so several times since. Medvedev's latest Telegram rant was ultra outré.

What a horror this all is. Russia being tasked to absorb, once again, the deaths of so many Russian soldiers and borderland citizens as a gift to the world to end the plague of devious and deviant Western greed and egomania. With no assurance that the masters of bad faith won’t once again crank up the mechanisms of deceit to resurrect the Great Game wish to loot Eurasia. By what means will the collective West be deterred and maybe cured of this gluttonous insanity?

Regarding Russia's policy on Palestine... after the UNSC vote on Palestine UN Membership and US veto against it and just before Israeli UN Ambassador Gilad Erdan's speech the other day, Russia's UN delegation walked out: https://consortiumnews.com/2024/04/19/watch-us-vetoes-palestine-un-membership-as-russia-walks-out/

I know it is just a symbolic act of protest, but, as far as I know, it is unprecedented and, in my humble opinion, it is a small step in the right direction and I hope that Russia will keep following this path.

Regarding Karkhov and Odesa, I think Putin wants to stop shelling of Belgorod oblast first. Also, from a logistical point of view, it is way easier to capture Karkhov than Odesa, which I think will be capture anyway, but later on. So, in my opinion, first will be Karkhov, then Mykolaiv and Odesa.

Thanks for the news from the UN; I wasn't aware of that act. If what Escobar reports at his Telegram is true, a Sea Change has occurred:

EXCLUSIVE

THE REAL STORY OF THE ISRAELI COUNTER RESPONSE

From a very high level intel source.

In Asia.

NOT Russia-China.

Although the strategic partnership, of course, exchanges at the highest level 24-7.

Confirmed and re-confirmed.

It will be great to know what Sy Hersh hears from his Beltway sources.

Here we go.

Israel initially chose to respond with extreme force.

An F-35 loaded with a nuclear bomb was sent east over Jordan.

The mission: cause a high-altitude detonation over Iran that would provoke a surge in the high-capacity power lines, crippling Iran's electric grid, as well as disabling all electronic devices.

An EMP attack.

However...

... As the Israeli F-35 was leaving Jordanian airspace it was shot down by the Russian Air Force.

Hence the publicised version of the Israeli counter response was such a travesty.

In the end all sides decided not to publicise the real news - to de-escalate what could well turn into WWIII.

If true, this is huge (to say the least)!

There is not enough brainpower in Kiev to come up with the nasty and complex Swiss scheme. To me it reads like US DoS scheming with think tank input solicited via contract or voluntarily.

My suggestion would be to destroy as many NATO lives on the ground in Ukraine as possible. Body bags and flag draped caskets speak a language all of its own. That might expedite Western thinking. Johnson's Ukraine funding package is not buying much including time. A Biden re-election will change all that. More boots on the ground, maybe and war-time footing for procurement since NATO cannot replenish the current high loss rate.

The new money has nothing to purchase in Ukraine but has applications elsewhere.
