I find it interesting, rightly or wrongly, many in the West believe that despite the US being the manipulator of the rest, it too is treated the same by billionaires or banking cartels, namely it doesn't actually set global policy. Indeed there is substantial circumstantial evidence for this.

However Russia (and China, Iran, N Korea) see no one but the US only as being the center of all evil. Russia is either correct these groups don't exist or it must fear them and thus won't call them out. Russians have stated it is the US they must negotiate with, not the puppet Ukraine, seems they do see the US singularly as the one that calls the shots. Does that mean conspiracy theorists are nutters after all? Just a passing thought.

Those of us who've examined the inner workings of the Outlaw US Empire and their origins know that the forces you relate exist within the US state structure. Simplified, Wall Street owns/controls the US federal government--all three branches. That's why Occupy Wall Street was such an accurate protest movement and why is was crushed so rapidly by Obama. There's an old book written by an insider, "The Secret Team," that provides the outline of that power structure. And there are others. But what few understand is the roots of it all go back to the 1870s in the UK, and the US system soon followed while the oligarchy still controlled the federal government--the USA has never been a democracy and the Constitutional coup of 1787 made certain of that.

So it's not that the "conspiracy theorists are nutters;" rather, they get quite a lot right but are unable to tell the story in full. IMO, that's now possible, but as I just said, the story is far longer than most realize since the Class War has actually lasted 4,000+ years and pits creditors versus debtors and includes some very fantastical manipulations to divide and rule.

Very Michael Hudson-esque :)

Yes, Dr. Hudson and I are very much on the same page and share thoughts. His scholarship opened the door for me to enter and discover more of the puzzle so the Big Picture can be established. There's more to come when the third Trilogy volume gets published and astounds and riles millions with what it reveals.

The key is being able to publish as Hudson's explained and is why he established his own publishing house, although technically he doesn't self-publish. When Prouty's "The Secret Team" was published, the CIA bought up all the copies. The NYT's serialized the Pentagon Papers before they were made into a book and published. And there're many other examples. I know some of the content of the third volume and it's explosive and will prove extremely controversial for many millions.

I wouldn't infer from the failure of Russia to draw attention to banking cartels and other "hidden forces" behind the visible leaders of nations, that Putin and his ministers are unaware of or afraid of them. I think Russia is quite correct in focusing on readily verifiable statements and actions of the US and its European vassals. This clearly conveys Russia's reasons for its decisions in the military, diplomatic, economic, and other spheres, exposes the hypocrisy and outright criminality of the West, and builds interest in a multipolar world where most nations acknowledge and respect each other's sovereignty.

At such time that the security of Russia and its ever-growing set of sovereign partners seems assured, perhaps the capture and trial of the financiers of global tragedy would be appropriate. Until then, I think any discussion by Russia of "hidden forces" would be a distraction and potentially raise doubts in many people who would otherwise be receptive to Russia's perspective.

Very rarely, Lavrov, Putin and others allude to the Deep State, but you're correct that they keep to the easily visible instead of the obscured. Putin asking Clinton about Russia becoming part of NATO is one instance as Clinton agreed but came back later and said that wouldn't be possible--his decision was overruled. There's more than enough overt evil and such that pointing to the obscure isn't needed.

Thank you, Karl. They really work hard to refashion all structures. I just wish, somebody listen to V. V. Putin! “Now we have come to a situation where President of Russia Vladimir Putin has once again called on you to listen to us, because over the past ten years, every time the West has refused our proposals, nothing good has come of it.”

Yes, Putin forwarded an invitation to Europeans designed to divide NATO/EU and eventually end it as the Euro-Atlantic "security" concept is now dead.
