I think that Russia's interpretation of Hamas actions as terrorist are an error; for the Palestinian have the same right to fight the Zionists as the Russians had when they fought against Napoleon, the wars of 1917 then Hitler; the "Cold War", now Ukraine. Imperialism, it's freak Zionism, can not be trusted even a little bit.
We agree there's an error, but Russia has termed the Zionist response barbaric and criminal, which IMO is the same as saying it was also terroristic. And the only way Palestinians were ever going to liberate themselves was via war.
We would like Russia to actively oppose genocide because we trust it as an honest agent of liberation and progress. But why should we confine Russia to the role of world policeman?
It is high time other nations should stop waiting for direction and learn (or dare) to exercise some of the attributes of the multipolarity they want.
And perhaps because I'm also an optimist, I'm convinced that even without visible diplomacy, there's plenty of moves and shifts going on all around to untie the knot of pain that is Palestine.
You'll enjoy my latest. What I've advocated is collective action by those nations that agree with and want to subscribe to China's Global Security Initiative as that will be additional pressure on any hegemonic entity in a way the Friends in Defense of the UN Charter can't even though it contains Russia and China. There's more to it all that's out in plain sight--the two recent Russia/China Joint Declarations, Russia's Humanitarian policy and its Foreign Policy Concept within which it sets, Xi's four Global Initiatives and more are public documents that when gathered together comprise a manifesto for Humanity.
His resistance to being perturbed perplexes the opposition to the point where they get frustrated and make errors which Lavrov in turn capitalizes on. To engage with Lavrov is to play chess.
As always, Lavrov is clear and eloquent.

Lavrov and Co. Specialists in all kinds of pest control and eradication.
Fly swatting.
Sergie Lavrov has the patience of a saint. If me I'd be spitting vitriol at those lying media whores.

Yep, a great tactic that not many can master.
