There aren't many writers who can frame all these geopolitical tectonics the way you do so I hope more gradually tune into your substack.

As you know from my commentary at Moon of Alabama, am generally concerned that there are more levels at play than those apparent in the main public square where various political leaders and pundits perform and that there are both internal conflicts as well as nefarious links between them not well perceived, not to mention the growing influence of international oligarchic and financial networks for whom traditional nation state jurisdictional distinctions are quaint conventions from a past they see as distant and steadily receding in their rear view mirror. This means that some of the public dynamic between the US-NATO axis and Russia-China et alia, though important, is also only a part of the story.

Now maybe that's just devious over-thinking, perhaps an after-effect of having lived in the Empire of Lies for a lifetime, and possibly the best level to contemplate all this is at the official public nation state level you present. In the hope that this is the case, I for one greatly value your voice in the mix and, again, hope that more tune into it over time. Best of luck!

As I almost commented earlier today, much of what gets planned happens behind the veil in private, and unlike some journalists who have inside sources, I have none and must rely on what gets published or at least publicly announced. For example, it's rather easy to judge the amount of effort Russia's putting into its MENA diplomatic policies by the shear volume of meetings taking place by actors below Lavrov's rank which are usually only generally described in MFA's media notifications. Putin's office is even more opaque.

Thanks for your comment. Big Picture synthesis is what I aim to accomplish here.

Thanks for your compliment! I don't know Substack's payment policy re. checks, aside from I'm not to be paid directly. Try signing up for a paid subscription, the suggested entry amount is $8/mo, and see what options are provided. I'm curious what you discover.

"The rise of the Nazi "culture" in Europe" is the biggest problem that will probably eventually break the back of the EU bureaucracy. This will not break NATO, but it will make it a toothless tiger. Otherwise, there is nothing aggressive in Lavrov's statements except a coherent line that is obviously coordinated with Beijing. But with this remark Lavrov could have been much more explizit.

The Nazi "culture" we see that in Italy where actually since Berlusconi, that is 2000, nasty trickery is going on. Especially economic dependencies with global zombi locusts. But even worse is the rapid development of the Nazi "culture" here in France. This strange amalgamation of petty bourgeois allotment socialism and the obsession to cling to the idea of the "Grande Nation", which will probably lead to the victory of Lepen in 2027 and the then following 6th Republic. Germany, I have hope for the people. The climate cult there has allowed itself to be pushed into a corner so much that in a year at the latest there will hardly be anyone who believes even a word they say. They are simply too uneducated, unprofessional and have been convicted of too many of their lies.

Well, anyway, good to read you here because I do not write comments on the other forum because of all this Cloudflare obstructionism....

The Nazi background of today's events has a complex history that I intend to deal with in the future. Its roots exist in a particular mindset of Western elites that goes back to the Roman Era, with the Greeks formulating a word to describe its basics--Pleonexia. If you've followed my extensive writings at Moon of Alabama, then you'll have read bits and pieces of what I'll eventually write about.

I don't want to brag here but here is an example I had written almost 20 years ago. Paul Hausser - Part I http://www.bilderberg.org/nato.htm This is all much, much more extensive because it was buried under a victor's justice ("Siegerjustiz"). But all began with the "Kiel School" (Kieler Schule) in 1933, a complete reorganisation of jurisprudence, similar to what we are experiencing now (Assange et all).

Current Russia-China ties go above and beyond military-political pact — Chinese diplomat

Wang Wenbin stressed that this bilateral relationship differed fundamentally from the North Atlantic Alliance, which focuses on creating exclusive closed circles while promoting bloc-based confrontation

At the same time, the effectiveness of country associations without Western participation is on the rise. The SCO and BRICS are a case of modern multilateral diplomacy without leaders or followers where decisions are made based on consensus. We welcome Indonesia’s interest in strengthening cooperation with these associations, which undoubtedly have a great future," Lavrov added.

" I assure you that all legitimate security interests of the Russian Federation will be ensured. We know what these measures will be and how to implement them in practice."

This is exactly what I was saying at MoA (until I was banned): Russia intends to build a "New Iron Curtain" from the Black Sea to the Arctic, shutting out the West from ever being able to threaten Russia with Nazism ever again. Russia realized after WWI, WWII and now Ukraine that the West is an enemy and can never be anything but an enemy. So now they will use Ukraine, Belarus and its own territory to insure that the West can never be militarily capable of attacking Russia (short of a nuclear first strike.)

Your scenario is one of several possibilities. Geoeconomic realities will eventually have their say as time marches on. However, there's a very apparent mismatch that reminds me of a Blues/Jazz Classic, "Never Make A Move Too Soon."
