Onward to Destiny

Here I sit in the OHSU facility in Portland, Oregon having undergone the operation to defuse my Abdominal Aortic Aneurism Time Bomb unable to access any Russian or Chinese websites because the server used has blocked them; so, it’s difficult to get caught up with events. Fortunately, Global South republished Pepe Escobar’s important SputnikGlobal Od/Ed, “Neocons Want War With China” that begins with Kissinger’s Beijing visit and meeting with Xi Jinping. But Kissinger isn’t the problematic old man; Edward Lutwack, 80, is. Here’s the most important segment:

Luttwak, a master of deception, reveals precious nuggets in terms of contextualizing current Washington moves. That starts with his assertion that the US – represented by the Biden combo – is itching to do a deal with Russia.

That explains why CIA head William Burns, actually a capable diplomat, called his counterpart, SVR head Sergey Naryshkin (Russian Foreign Intelligence) to sort of straighten things up “because you have something else to worry about which is more unlimited”. What’s “unlimited”, depicted by Luttwak in a Spenglerian sweep, is Xi Jinping’s drive to “get ready for war”. And if there’s a war, Luttwak claims that “of course” China would lose. That dovetails with the supreme delusion of Straussian neocon psychos across the Beltway.

Luttwak seems not to have understood China’s drive for food self-sufficiency: he qualifies it as a threat. Same for Xi using a “very dangerous” concept, the “rejuvenation of the Chinese people”: that’s “Mussolini stuff”, says Luttwak. “There has to be a war to rejuvenate China”.

The “rejuvenation” concept – actually better translated as “revival” – has been resonating in China circles at least since the overthrow of the Qing dynasty in 1911. It was not coined by Xi. Chinese scholars point out that if you see US troops arriving in Taiwan as “advisors”, you would probably make preparations to fight too.

But Luttwak is on a mission: “This is not America, Europe, Ukraine, Russia. This is about ‘the sole dictator’. There is no China. There is only Xi Jinping,” he insisted. And Luttwak confirms the EU’s Josep “Garden vs. Jungle” Borrell and European Commission dominatrix Ursula von der Leyen fully support his vision. Luttwak, in just a few words, actually gives away the whole game: “The Russian Federation, as it is, is not strong enough to contain China as much as we would wish”. Hence the turn around by the Biden combo to “freeze” the conflict in the Donbass and change the subject. After all, “if that [China] is the threat, you don’t want Russia to fall apart,” Luttwak reasons. [My Emphasis]

Luttwak doesn’t seem to understand a great many things as is the norm for such narrow and small-minded people. China has already had its rejuvenating war which freed it from the Japanese and the gangster “nationalists.” The further rejuvenation is all related to reunification, which is a task that’s nearing completion but is being complicated by the Outlaw US Empire’s actions. Furthermore, Luttwak like all his kin, have no real understanding of China’s political-economy or the philosophy that drives that and its overall mode of governance. And the same can be said about Russia. Neoliberalcons are so wedded to Cold War Thought, they are clearly incapable of thinking outside that box as Kissinger of all people illustrates.

As b has observed over the last several days at MoA, the Outlaw US Empire’s Establishment Narrative is making a very quick U-Turn. One excellent indicator was voiced by Trump when he said the EU will pay to replenish the Empire’s military stocks wasted in Ukraine. That the EU is approaching bankruptcy for following Imperial diktat for 20+ years wasn’t even mentioned. The Ukies are a spent force, and Russia’s in the process of finishing off the battered cage fighter—Two men enter; One man leaves. Will any other NATO member be as foolish as the Ukies now that it’s becoming clear they’re being thrown under the bus like all those before—”For as long as it takes.” Yeah, right. The only real question is about the timing of Russia’s move: Will it come after the Russian-African Summit at the end of July, or after BRICS in late August. Larry Johnson reached back into the past to showcase what Russia’s now doing by highlighting the work of M.N. Tukhachevsky and his strategic tactic of “historical development of the notion of sequencing battles to achieve the objectives of a war.” And given current ISR issues, that sort of sequencing has even more importance today than in WW2 when it proved its effectiveness.

Escobar mentions the assessments and predictions of Dr. Hudson at the end of his piece. There are several, but this is the winner:

Michael Hudson, once again, summarized it: when it comes to the economy, the US and EU “strategic error of self-isolation from the rest of the world is so massive, so total, that its effects are the equivalent of a world war.”

There will be a Dollar Bloc consisting of NATO and perhaps a few other nations, and a RoW Bloc led by China, Russia, Iran, India, and ASEAN that will include at least 150 nations. This will be the main form of geopolitical structure until the Dollar Bloc dissolves as its European and Asian members defect over time. The main factors impacting the Dollar Bloc will be its vanishing amounts of hydrocarbons, its deindustrialization, and its vast corruption. At this juncture, it’s difficult to see who will replace the geriatric Neoliberalcons as they enter their graves. The crop behind them seem every bit as addicted to Pleonexia as those passing from the scene. The question begged: How will the great U-Turn be seen by the Dollar Bloc’s public? Will the Poles repeat their disastrous WW2 mistake. Will the Baltic’s commit suicide? What of Finland and the Nordic states? They all seem to be aiming to emulate Ukraine’s fate. And for what? To enable Biden’s reelection?
