Me too. But, not so lucky as to be born in SF in that time period. You've really seen the heights and now lows of California. It's just sad to see what SF has become. The place of billionaires and bums.

Entrepreneurial, investment and expansion oriented. They understand their physically demanding environments and seem to be dealing with it. Except for the weather, what is there not to like if you want expansion and economic growth.

I could be considered one of those California exiles, although I just went North to Oregon from San Jose. I'm a native San Franciscan born at one of its oldest institutions--The Presidio.

He should ask the Chinese for technical assistance since those Russian places are much nearer to Harbin than Kremlin, but he won't as he's into self sufficiency.

Actually, lots of Chinese investment goes to that region. Pay attention to the Far Eastern Economic Forum that will occur in a few days. Both Russia and China have plenty of capital and access to resources; what they lack is labor.
