I tried to learn Russian as a child and found it inpenetrable. My language skills are limited it seems. My favourite is Rodina. For me the word invokes the Russian character and sense of place. But then, in modern parlance, that is "cultural appropriation". I'm just a Brit from Blighty, but fortunately no longer live there. Though I do miss the warm beer and warmer curries.
Well, I enjoy my beer--stouts and porters--very cold, and while I enjoy spicy curries, my wife doesn't have the same tastes when it comes to spicy. The info will keep flowing as today's a work day for Putin.
