The USA as an anti-fascist power in the fight for freedom and democracy? I think that's just propaganda and blah blah blah. Russia knows better. The USA and Great Britain provided organizational, financial and economic support in Hitler's build-up of a military power that they wanted to see in action against the Soviet Union and later did see in action. There was only "one flaw". Hitler first turned against France and Great Britain. After the war, the USA, Canada and Great Britain gladly accepted the services of the German Nazis. Often with blackmail. Or France blackmailed German prisoners of war into serving in the Foreign Legion in Southeast Asia.... ... Today's European "elites" are a product of the CIA, WEF (listen to Klaus Schwab, who in turn is a product of Kissinger and the Rockefellers). The US has always used every Nazi, criminal, terrorist and mass murderer for its interests. Including the Nazification of parts of the Ukrainian and Baltic populations. I won't disagree with the "European part" of the report.

Why does Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service frame the issue as European fascism being the "common enemy" of the USA and Russia?

It's an attempt to politically pander to the Americans, as part of their current Ukraine War/geopolitical negotiations with the USA.

But Europe is ultimately an American vassal.

So if the vassal is fascist, what that does say about his master?

This is the unspoken issue that is carefully avoided in that article.
