Lavrov delivers a short but timely address to the participants of the International Scientific and Practical Forum No Statute of Limitations being held in Kaliningrad. Timely because there are currently two very vivid demonstrations of the crimes Nazis were convicted for at Nuremburg that are now occurring in Ukraine and Occupied Palestine—Genocide specifically and Crimes Against Humanity generally. A remark Lavrov made yesterday was noted by MoA commentator jayc that adds a bit of context to Lavrov’s address:
Lavrov is suitably dry in remark:
"Regarding US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's forecasts regarding the interference of third parties in this conflict. The United States is among the leaders of those who are already intervening."
That is irrefutable, but cognitively dissonant for consumers of the west's media. Here's another example of such dissonance in the headlines this morning:
Isael escalates bombardment of Gaza targets
Biden and Western Leaders Urge Other Middle Eastern Powers to Prevent Escalation
Gaza from an earlier age: Same crimes ought to give same judgment.
The point being that the Outlaw US Empire is facilitating the genocide happening in both Palestine and Ukraine, meaning its leaders differ little from Hitler and his team. Those important facts must be kept in mind as the Multipolar World becomes reality and the Empire stoops to every crime possible to stop the progress of humanity and its history. Now for Lavrov’s words:
Dear Colleagues,
Friends
77 years ago, on October 1, 1946, the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg issued a historic verdict that convicted the main Nazi war criminals and legally consolidated the defeat of Hitler's regime. This truly epoch-making event has rightfully gone down in history as the Court of Nations. The Nuremberg Trials marked the beginning of a new stage in the development of international law. The foundations of the modern system of international criminal justice have been laid.
The tribunal found that the atrocities of the Nazis were on a scale previously unknown in history. War crimes and crimes against humanity have been systematically committed, including against the civilian population. Those Nazi structures that systematically prepared and implemented these misanthropic plans have been forever outlawed.
It is generally accepted that the atrocities committed by the Nazis have no statute of limitations. On the territory of our country, large-scale work continues to investigate the newly revealed facts of criminal acts of the German fascist invaders. Ample evidence of the massacre of civilians, torture, slave labor, and other manifestations of Nazi ideology dispels any doubt that the events of that time should be regarded as genocide.
In this regard, holding the No Statute of Limitations Forum in the Kaliningrad Region is a symbolic and logical decision. In the territories that once belonged to East Prussia and were liberated from the Nazis by Red Army soldiers in 1945, dozens of gas vans were discovered. Forced labor of Soviet citizens was widely used. Königsberg was no exception, where the notorious Nord camp was located.
In this context, it is particularly alarming that in a number of European countries, primarily in Ukraine and the Baltic states, historical memory is being systematically destroyed. The lessons of the Second World War are being forgotten. Racist, neo-Nazi and extremist ideas are openly propagated. It has come to the point where former Nazis are honored without hesitation. The shameful story of honouring a veteran of the SS Galicia Division in the Canadian parliament with the participation of Vladimir Zelensky is well known. Among the latest examples of irresponsible revisionism are initiatives to return Prussian names to the cities of the Kaliningrad region.
I would like to remind the representatives of the criminal Kiev regime, and at the same time its Western patrons, that, according to the materials of the Nuremberg trials, almost 200,000 civilians were tortured, shot and poisoned in Kiev alone during the German occupation. A significant part of them was destroyed by SS units.
In 1942, the Nazi criminal Reichskommissar E. Koch wrote the following in an address to the Reich press leaders: "Ukraine is for us only an object of exploitation, it must pay for the war, and the population must be used to a certain extent as a second-class people in the solution of military tasks, even if it has to be caught with a lasso." Today, the "historical West" led by the United States adheres to essentially a similar line, ready to contain Russia "to the last Ukrainian."
Against this background, countering the falsification of the results of World War II and the spread of misanthropic ideology are among the key priorities of Russian diplomacy. Every year, our country submits draft resolutions to the UN General Assembly to combat the glorification of Nazism. Despite unprecedented pressure from the "collective West", 120 states voted in support of this document in 2022. We see this as clear evidence of the international community's rejection of any attempts to rehabilitate the Nazis and their henchmen.
Dear Colleagues,
One of the main goals of your Forum is to promote the historical truth about Nazi crimes against humanity. It is important to form an understanding of the generic features of Nazism in the public consciousness and to eradicate its modern manifestations. For our part, we are ready to continue to actively contribute to resolving this problem, including at key multilateral venues.
In conclusion, I would like to wish you fruitful discussions and all the best.
The linked document that 120 nations supported in 2022 is added below to show that the growth of Nazism is occurring and strengthening in one particular political region of the world—The West—which must be related to the conflicts in Ukraine and Occupied Palestine where both rogue states operate under ideological formulations of Nazism that include similar behaviors, while recalling that Zionism is a Western philosophy that allied itself with the Nazis during WW2:
On November 4, 2022, at a meeting of the Third Committee of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, at the initiative of the Russian Federation, a resolution was adopted on combating the glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fueling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance.
The document was co-sponsored by 31 more states: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Venezuela, Vietnam, Zimbabwe, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Cuba, Laos, Mali, Malawi, Nigeria, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Senegal, Syria, Sudan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, the Philippines, the Central African Republic, Sri Lanka, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, and the Republic of South Africa.
105 states voted for the document, 52 delegations voted against, and 15 countries abstained. The resolution once again condemned the glorification of the Nazi movement and the whitewashing of former members of the SS organization, including the Waffen-SS units recognized as criminal by the Nuremberg Tribunal.
Serious concern was expressed over the ongoing war against monuments to fighters against Nazism and fascism and soldiers-liberators in some countries, which in recent years has become a state policy. At the same time, deep indignation was expressed about marches aimed at glorifying the Nazis and their accomplices, torchlight processions of neo-Nazis and radical nationalists. In the same vein, there are the opening of memorials and the renaming of streets, schools and other social facilities in honor of those who fought on the side of the Nazis or collaborated with them. At the same time, concern is expressed over attempts to elevate those who fought against the Anti-Hitler Coalition during World War II, collaborated with the Nazis and committed war crimes and crimes against humanity to the rank of national heroes. It is emphasized that such actions desecrate the memory of countless victims of fascism, have a negative impact on the younger generation and are absolutely incompatible with the obligations of the UN member states under the UN Charter.
Unfortunately, since the adoption by the UN General Assembly in 2005 of the first resolution on combating the glorification of Nazism, these problems have not only not been resolved, but have in many ways worsened. Once again, we are witnessing attempts to deny our common history. Racist and xenophobic rhetoric is on the rise, as are calls to get rid of migrants, refugees and "alien elements". In many countries, manifestations of Islamophobia, Christianophobia, Afrophobia and anti-Semitism have become commonplace.
This year, the adoption of this important document was overshadowed by attempts by Western countries to openly politicize and settle scores with Russia against the backdrop of the ongoing Ukrainian crisis.
The "collective West", in particular the EU countries, where all the above-mentioned violations occur on a systematic basis, this time rejected the latest attempts to cover up its refusal to support the resolution with ridiculous excuses about freedom of assembly and speech and opposed international efforts to combat aggressive manifestations of racism and xenophobia. The positions of Germany and Japan are particularly alarming. Their indulgence in dangerous tendencies, given the dark pages in the history of these states that took place in the 20th century, makes us wonder where the "collective democratic West" is heading.
Moreover, in an effort to distort the meaning of this resolution and get even with Russia for their political failures on the Ukrainian issue, Western countries unsuccessfully tried to disrupt the adoption of the document and resorted to procedural manipulations, which once again demonstrated their bias and unwillingness to engage in an honest and constructive dialogue. This was yet another attempt to divide the UN member states and complicate international cooperation in countering neo-Nazism, racism and xenophobia.
Nevertheless, the results of the vote clearly demonstrated the unwavering support of the international community for the traditional Russian initiative, which is annually submitted to the UN General Assembly.
We are convinced that the adoption of this thematic resolution will make a significant contribution to the eradication of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance. [My Emphasis]
A growing number of people understand the EU was a project begun by the Outlaw US Empire to more closely control Europe which is quite obvious today as its ruled ever more by NATO that European nations as it cannot tolerate democracy as the will of many Europeans was denied in referenda that clear showed public’s didn’t want to subordinate themselves to an unaccountable oligarchy becoming ever more visibly Nazi. Hopefully, the direct EU/NATO support for the genocide currently taking place in Occupied Palestine will open many more eyes to the genuine nature of those institutions so citizens can act according to free themselves. The Resistance Movement must move beyond West Asia to include Europe and the Global South with the goal of DeNazifying the planet, which should have been accomplished between 1945 and 1950, but wasn’t due to the actions of the Outlaw US Empire to keep it alive.

thanks karl... lavrov is a brilliant speaker and statesmen... putin and lavrov are like a serious 1 2 punch that the western msm has to ignore.. if people read what they actually said, there would be a lot more outrage in the western societies..
Putin & Lavrov vs. Biden & Blinken.
Is there any question why the majority of the world is supportive of the former and is horrified by the latter?
