Well thats an awful lot of good news... awful lot of great projects that will make Russia's economy even better to the benefit of the Russian people and their security....
That is more than USA can say about their economy... !!!!
As always, thank you for your great work. Please allow me to ask a question, off topic.
Alice Weidel, leader of the opposition AfD, had the conversation with E. Musk. First of all, I want to say that I was very frustrated and shocked afterward. Above all because my fears were confirmed.
The AfD is just as much a neoliberal and antisocial party as the other parties. I would argue that it is even worse. The conversation provided proof that the AfD will not fight for Germany's sovereignty. On the contrary. With the AfD, we are also very deeply in the anus of the hegemon USA. 5% of GDP for the military? God, that's more than 240 billion euros. The usual suspects who want to cut social benefits or even eliminate them completely immediately come forward. Suggestions up to the expropriation of savings are thrown into the public space to see whether there is an outcry or not. The genocide by the Israeli regime was not mentioned. But the vow to continue to support the Israeli regime in its actions.
OK, this long introduction was necessary for context. Now to my question. I'll try to keep it short.
I think that the AfD is holding talks with E. Musk and the Trump team behind the scenes. For me it is clearly evident that in Europe the "WEF deep state elites" are to be replaced by "new elites" who are personally obedient to Trump. The same in Canada.
The USA is plundering Europe to weaken a competitor and to strengthen its own economy.
Even though Alice Weidel said a lot of bullshit in the conversation, she is still a very intelligent and well-informed person. She can even speak and write Mandarin Chinese. So this conversation was just a show for the people.
But. She wants to import cheap natural gas and raw materials from Russia again.
She can't do that against the will of the USA. Even any pupil at a secondary school can understand that. What do you think? Is it possible that there is a realization in the USA that Germany is of no value to the USA if it is turned into a developing country and that the USA is therefore promising permission to resume economic trade with Russia? Is that possible? And what price will that have for Germany?
Doctorow was more interested in Musk's performance than what Ms. Weidel had to say, with some of his observations cited in a draft article about Musk I'm working on.
Is AfD working a backchannel to Trump? Yes, how else the Musk interview. Can AfD gain a parliamentary majority and thus be capable of forming a government? Many are opining that's an impossible task given the nature of German politics. However, AfD could gain more regional governmental control to use as a springboard for the next election which will likely be in a year given the great unpopularity of whatever coalition arises to govern.
Who has the power to turn on Nord Stream, Parlaiment or Chancellor? Same with the power to withdrawal from NATO & EU? How mortally wounded is the German economy and is one gas pipe enough of a tourniquet? And where does German public opinion stand on those questions, particularly about being a colony of the Outlaw US Empire?
As for Europe becoming an Outlaw US Empire colony, IMO, it's a classic Neoliberal asset stripping attack. Remember, Neoliberalism is all about Rent Seeking, not producing productive output--its activities are always a drain on GDP, not product adding. The only time Neoliberals will produce something productive is via a monopoly where they can collect the monopoly rents, thus the cost equals or exceeds the benefits.
I've long advocated for European nations to leave NATO and the EU, and if they want to form something collectively they begin with a pan-Eurasia security structure and then move on to commerce realizing that all nations have greatly differing economic potential. National currencies need to be reinstituted, and the EUCB turned into a development bank .
Yes, I think that Europe needs to recover the sovereignty of nations and go back to national currencies. Can they or will they do it? It brings back ‘memories’ of the Greek crisis. As for working together, that is the big problem given Western and Eastern European divide and the colonisation of Europe and European elites by neoliberalism. I am just not sure….but it will take a long time.
With the immigrant issue, Europeans must learn to get along with everyone, not just those from their tribe; otherwise, it's Lord of the Flies and never-ending chaos. That goes for the East/West divide and the Quintuple religions--Judaism, Islam, Protestantism, Catholicism, and Orthodoxy. One of the core tenets of Liberalism was its stated ability of tolerance, or so it was said. But that's been a very iffy value for as long as the concept's existed. The Global Majority appears to be adopting Humanism; we'll see how that progresses.
One has to look at Italy first with "Movimento 5 Stelle" and then with Giorgia Meloni's "Fratelli d'Italia" party to understand how things work in Europe: opposition parties tend to capture people's discontent, then, once the tide has turned, they are piloted by the US hegemon. In Italy every time a new Prime Minister is appointed has to go and kiss the slipper (as we say in Italy, not to say something else!) of his/her masters in Washington. If they do not, they will be killed. Don't trust me? Google "Aldo Moro".
Remember what NATO’s first Secretary General, Lord Hastings Lionel Ismay, said: "NATO was created to “keep the Soviet Union [now Russia] out, the Americans in, and the Germans down".
The Outlaw US Empire will never leave from Europe and it is has corrupted this continent to the core, like a cancer!
I am of the same opinion as you. Nevertheless, I am very worried about the impending catastrophe affecting more than 80 million people in Germany. Not least about my own fate and that of the people I love. Peace, a secure supply of energy and raw materials can help us to prevent the worst. Hence the question. A. Weidel is highly intelligent. She must be aware of the implications
I am very worried about the impending catastrophe affecting not just Germany and/or Italy, but whole Europe. I think EU and hopefully NATO may finally collapse soon. How long can we go on like this?
The political winds are shifting, and new sails are being hoisted to catch them. Croatia, Austria and Romania are joining Slovakia, Hungary and Serbia. The governments in Germany and France will soon be changed. I expect more to follow, primarily in the Balkans. Poland's an oddity; perhaps it will stay with the Baltics, but the latter have few prospects. Of course, Trump policy will have a large effect, whatever it will be.
Yes, I see it the same way. It won't happen tomorrow or the day after. Perhaps in a period of up to 20 years. But we don't know which future factors and developments could become accelerators. My opinion is that the establishment and above all the hegemon will not allow Europe to act sovereignly and independently in its own national interest. Perhaps with the exception of Hungary and Serbia, for example. Although the domestic political and socio-economic situation in Serbia is very unstable.
Only when the hegemon itself is so weakened that it can no longer suppress its colonies and vassals by force will national forces be able to fill the vacuum.
It was similar, for example, with the Chinese and Roman empires.
I am interested in whether it is possible for the new administration in the USA to allow its German vassal to trade with Russia again. As already mentioned, Weidel is no fool. If she says something like that to Musk, then it is highly official. Let's remember what role Musk plays. On the one hand, he is an essential part of the Trump administration and Trump needs Musk's media platform for his propaganda. Currently, no other medium has a greater reach. Musk, on the other hand, is interested in a Europe that has sufficient energy supplies, raw materials and consumers with purchasing power. For Musk, Trump's support seems to have paid off. He has become even richer in a short space of time. I don't buy his philanthropy idea any more than B. Gates does.

AMEN
The Outlaw US Empire has the opposite—a Direct Divestment Fund, commonly called Vulture Funds.
Yes, the Amerika govt. is good at bombing the future into the stone age even at home;-)
