'United' Nations, (UN), an oxymoron, a corrupt to the gills organisation that allows the bastard offspring of America, Israel, to retain a seat. A sick joke!.
Personally I wouldn't trust either Brasil or India as a partner, too much western influence, hell, India just signed a $7.2 Billion contract for 26 French Rafale Jets, that's $280 million a pop and will train pilots in France and India.
It’s refreshing to hear or read "conversations" from intelligent, mentally sound people.
I’m not sure if I misunderstood this in connection with the BRICS summit in Kazan, but I thought the group wasn’t planning to create a common currency (like the Euro) but rather a digital settlement unit—the "Unit"—designed to facilitate and simplify international trade and investments using national currencies. A common currency is something entirely different. What did I get wrong here?
Of course, Lavrov answered very diplomatically when asked about Brazil’s potential membership in the UN Security Council. But aren’t the U.S. constantly trying to force a regime change in Brazil? There are powerful forces in the country that want to pull Brazil out of BRICS and turn it back into a U.S. vassal—naturally driven by the financial, self-serving interests of an "elite." After Argentina, this would be a major setback for Russia and China in Latin America, and consequently for the development of a peaceful multipolar order. Well, at least there’s always the veto power in the UN Security Council.
The decision made at Kazan was to delay any sort of currency because of the lack of maturity of many BRICS member’s financial systems—they lack the needed foundation to even participate in a trading currency like the Bancor that would require a new IMF-like structure to facilitate global transactions. The current situation where national currencies are being used is a good start and will help create the needed foundation. A “core system” between the most mature BRICS might be rolled-out, but we’ll need to wait and see.
Brazil suffers from its fascist past and the Empire’s promotion of that past. However, social conditions demand a more equitable situation. South America as a whole stands to benefit from the Empire’s decline, but the fascist elements remain dangerous. The BRICS FM meeting is ongoing, and I expect to read some positive results.
It's almost May, it sounds like all the momentum created by Russia is going to waste under the Brazil chair.
There are two taboos in all the western media. Calling the Ukraine regime Nazi, and the actions of the Israelis genocide.
These both need repeating as much as possible in public.
BRICS Council of Foreign Ministers is meeting in Brazil. There’s plenty of BRICS activity, but it’s overshadowed by other happenings.

America means genocide in English.
I agree with what you say in your last paragraph, Karl.
