Some comment by a non-attributed senior member of the Israeli leadership is that they would really like to precipitate a global conflict. That is probably not a polite conversation subject, but it should worry all of the participants, the US included.

One more reason to hold my breath.

yes, one wonders of the validity of that speculation as well...

I may be jumping the gun, but it seems to me there's possibly a direct coordination occurring with Russia and the Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum held on 30th May in Beijing, which Xi attended along with 4 Arab heads of state ... which they said was unprecedented in top end attendees. .. and this coming just after the State Visit there by Putin.

Q: Has anyone sighted the Joint Statement Xi and Putin singed during that visit yet? I cannot find it on Russian or Chinese eng sites.

I hope your hunches are correct that they are cooking up something that they didn't want to put out yet.

Does the US care if the spirit of the UN died?

They might care since the UN is one of their rules enforcing institutions

Agree w/ your take. Is Russia going to do anything to stop this genocide?

This conflict would end immediately if Israel's supporters wished - Israel is not dependent on Russia for anything in terms of arms, technology or economic support and is waging a de facto war against Russia's ally, Syria. Also, Russia is a little busy at the moment to say the least - the West continues to escalate in Ukraine and it is not clear yet whether this will result in a direct war between Russia and US/NATO/EU/UK. Russia's primary concern is trying to prevent World War III.

Fair point. Somebody has to stop Israel: US won't do it and Gulf Arab states are too bought by US, so that seems to leave China and Russia...

Yes force will indeed be necessary "to get the Zionists to comply with anything the ICJ has ordered".
