Most of these new media are internet platforms like BRICS-TV that did the interview in the next article. Then there’s the anti-fake news group that Pepe Escobar talked about that was also promoted at the BRICS Summit. Then there are new media outlets popping up all over the Global South, especially in Africa. But the majority trend appears to be internet-based media. The growth and scope of China’s Guancha is very impressive. I could easily find at least one article there daily to translate and republish. And with translation software now standard as part of most OS plus other free translation platforms, it’s far easier to learn what’s happening globally—English language media has lost its monopoly. And that’s a good thing!
Secondary tariffs on India the 2nd largest importer of Russian crude oil equates to tertiary tariffs on European, American, Japanese and Australian imported refined products (diesel, jet fuel . . .), in effect, driving up market prices, purportedly anathema to Trump/America.
I expect Russian exports of enriched uranium, titanium and other critical products into America will be exempt until a time when Russia says F.U.
Notice how Lavrov still goes out of his way to avoid criticising Trump directly.
We only have to witness what Russia has done, in seeking new & reviving older trading partners. I don't think many see the massive significance of this. Russia is under a staggering 30 thousand different sanctions from the Western countries. Obviously I know Russia has the resources the whole World needs. But trade is trade, if Russia can manage to thrive under these amount of sanctions from the whole West not just the US. Theres nothing stopping the countries targeted most severely by America. To go out & seek different market opportunities away from America. Americans might be an afluent market but it's only 400 million people. Out of those 400 million, how many have the funds to buy a certain product that country is exporting to America. There's a market of billions of civilians to tap into as an alternative. America has been on a downward spiral, weaponising the dollar through sanctions & now tariffs for decades. They're actually forcing foreign countries to do their business elsewhere the dollar can be avoided. As so they don't become victims or targets of America's weponised dollar. We'll start to know the effects of Trumps stupidity in 12 months or so. Which gives the countries who export to America, a chance to facilitate their exports away from America. It's not even the long term countries would start seeing the benefits of leaving the American market. As the more countries who start doing these actions would grow increasing the markets for each other. BRICS is proving how eager the rest of the World outside of the West is wanting to take these actions. I'm even going to quote what Mr Ignorant the story teller, said about BRICS earlier today. He's either anotger professional liar, or the most ill informed President in history.
350 Million. The sanctions have actually helped Russia a great deal in several strategic ways—becoming self-sufficient is big but also the fact that the West’s financial parasites were forbidden to ply their trade and thus undermine Russia from within. Beginning with the 2014 sanctions, Russia began experimenting with different methods of financing domestic and foreign investment that’s proven to be quite key, while all Western attempts to stop such investments have failed utterly. For BRICS, the tariffs can play a similar role. Hudson wrote an excellent if long essay that’s here, https://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2025/07/michael-hudson-todays-civilizational-conflict.html

It’s not up to the foreign minister in this case; that’s Putin’s job. Besides, Trump constantly beats himself up.
