I see that Antonio Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations attended the BRICS conferences. This should not be ignored or dismissed. There is a major shift going on and it is noteworthy that the BRICS summary statement endorsed the primary role of the UN in world affairs. (Guterres should exercise caution when choosing his future flight paths.)

I imagine that if a UN coalition of nations asserts the necessity to prevent Israels crimes against humanity in the middle east and mobilises a force to ensure its cessation in the next month or so, then there will be at least 2 nations walking out of the UN and good riddance to them both.

Time will tell.

Uncle, I'd like to see that, but I doubt it will happen. As you read, I'm still very steamed at Russia's West Asian policy that IMO refuses to see reality and swallowed whole the Zionist version of 7 October which was very wrong as most of the world's previously colonized and oppressed people knows. Guterres was only at today's Partner session according to the official attendance rosters provided by the Kremlin. I have yet to try and discover what he had to say. A ha! Here's a paraphrased PR from the UN, https://press.un.org/en/2024/sgsm22420.doc.htm

In searching for that, one of the hits was from Euronews saying the Summit is "controversial"! Photos show him arriving on the 23rd.

There is no one like Vlad the Impaler to stick a fork my western view of tactics. It is infuriating and I too go to being steamed at what seems to be his credulous acceptance of the Zio drivel re 7 October. But then cold logic accompanied by my meager insight into Russian matter kicks in. There are many jewish descent people living in Russia, not that they are all descendents of Indigenous Jews of Palestine but they identify through their common history and spiritual inclinations as jewish.

Then there are the voluminous divergent and brilliant peoples of Russia with a mighty hard hard working administration striving for national unity over all. So Putin perhaps does the inscrutable and cops the BS on the chin and leaves it to his colleagues to do the ball crushing and so on. I see this is shadow fencing with the UKUSA and I remind myself of the zen metaphor of more stones are worn with water than with grinding.

In the current state of play I see the illegal occupiers of Palestine have totally grasped the rope with which to hang themselves and have done so with such deplorable behaviour that only the UKUSA dogs and chihuahuas will come to their aid. The rest of the world is grasping a better future so ably designed and described by those nations with a solid comprehension of collective cooperation.

It takes a lot of patience to witness this but then I remind myself that 7 October was only a year ago, that Putin's 'piss off' letter to nato only 3 years ago (17 December 2021), that the close of WW2 only 80 years ago and we have been watching the insidious, conniving, lying manipulation of the West since then. Perhaps times have turned and we can keep our eye on the prize all be a bit tougher on calling out the dogs the minute we see or hear them.

If we want Putin to be a tad more punchy then we too need to exhibit vigilance and hard response more often with the weasel wording turds that seek to enslave us.

Did you read Arch Bungle's list at MoA today? Then there are b's and Simplicius's recaps of the Summit. There's much I missed by not watching the hours-long videos with translations as Simplicius shows. Of course, he's doing a different sort of write up while I'm trying to provide the basis for doing that sort of thing. The basic optics of the Summit as is being pointed out by many was more important than the content produced, most of which is in the Kazan Declaration.

I'm very wary of the UN Sustainable Development Goals...

I read them when they were issued. The top two goals are the main ones--elimination of hunger and then poverty. IMO, the remainder are fluff.

Fluff can also be toxic.

I agree. The Zionists and Nazis must be stopped. They're not interested in negotiations.

it is easy to agree with this, but what actions will matter to change the direction?? that is the 64,000 $ question.. karl seems to think russia and china using the brics summit as an opportunity to say something about this is the place.. maybe russia and china don't see it the same way??

Waiting for Ukraine to collapse. That might result in some interesting follow-ons.

The ME is an accident waiting to happen, Trump or no Trump.

"the key requirement for restoring peace and stability in the Palestinian territories is the implementation of the two-State formula approved by the UN Security Council and General Assembly resolutions."

I'm getting tired of Putin repeating meaningless slogans. Russia may be aiding Iran with systems and promising to stand by Iran, but it's doing absolutely zilch for the Palestinians and Lebanese. You'd think the General Staff would be telling Putin that keeping Hezbollah in the fight is the only way to slow the Iran war down if that's what he wants. Which means Russia needs to be shipping weapons to Hezbollah, Yemen and Syria the way the US is shipping weapons to Israel. Shipping a few S-400s to Iran isn't going to cut it. Russia has plenty to ship regardless of Ukraine and could make a deal with NK to ship some if Russia runs low.

He can't even directly blame the US for the genocide. He can't even call it genocide. Pepe says the Zionist Lobby in Russia is "a problem" because some of them are oligarchs. Well, Putin needs to get his house in order, then.

Thank you 7swordMary. Good to see a blunt assessment by Wilkerson of the USA doomsday machinery at the 42 minute mark in that exchange. With any luck and even a tad of disobedience we may avoid the worst. In many ways this is the very knot that needs to be unwound by the occasional tiresome twists of the Russian and Chinese leadership.

First free the nations from the oppression of the hegemon as is happening at BRICS.

I dont believe the USA is in any fit state to dismantle its nuclear arsenal entirely. However the world is coming close to that point where it is essential for all leaders to accept the vision of a nuclear free world. Perhaps a proxy exchange might set the parameters for such an outcome but I don't have much confidence in that either. Very fraught and sad times.
