While Putin visits the National Research Centre discussing quantum technologies and the development of nuclear power plants in Space, DJT, impatiently awaiting US factories to relocate (highly unlikely) home, visits a Meth Lab in Tennessee where everyone's just Spaced.

Excellent post. I especially enjoyed the embedded URL to student questions to Putin, who reveals charm, intelligence and an impressive depth of knowledge. Truly, a Renaissance Man of the first caliber. I too have both law and network engineering degrees and careers in both fields over the ourse of some 50+ years. Putin is a rare individual. Thanks for your channel Mr. Karl Sanchez.

Nice, but where are the shorter term benefits?

Biotechnology may still be where the US leads the world. The Chinese are serious chasing it, I would assume Russia would, too, but not a word.

Electronics of all types is increasingly headed to the area of commodities in manufacturing. The research and design is more concentrated, the Russians demonstrating some amazing competencies.

The three Rs of the fundamentals start at an early age with later education building upon them. Neglecting them has long term consequences. The US might want to reintroduce them as they rediscovered them after Sputnik. Lots of research grants for graduate students in the early sixties.

Biotech in Russia is mostly happening in Ag and medical fields. Quantum computing and communications are very big but not being boasted about.

It's always impressive seeing the level of detail that Putin is able to retain and deploy across every single portfolio.

Yes, I remember a friend had an Apollo model which was impressively large. All my friends wanted to either be (airforce) pilots or astronauts, at that time none of my friends thought of careers in finance. One of my Indian friends went to University of Michigan to study aerospace engineering, but joked about designing washing machines.
